Get a set of left handed clubs and turn them around for a right handed shot. Impossible to shank this way. As far as real advice, get your left hip around and behind you sooner to create the space necessary for your arms and the club.

Dude how many threads are you going to start that are all asking the same thing? Start your own swing thread, please.

Where would you like me to fill this out?

You can post it right in this thread.

Jaime,

Put a box an inch outside the ball and just swing obviously avoid hitting the box both taking the club away and on the downswing. More importantly downswing. You are hitting it too close to the heel due to swing path issues. The box makes you take the right path. I have all the same issues as you do. The box drill is great.

Maybe am not turning hips enough through impact

Not really. Again, check out the drill I posted earlier. Just from the pic, your weight is back and the club is swinging INward. You need to do the opposite, weight/hips forward and the hands forward. That will start moving the path more OUTward.

I'll also add this

Do this drill

Thanks for tips and info but it's went from bad to horrific now shanking every single shot even slow easy chip shots are along the ground to the right in exactly same place every time I just can't work it out the feeling through club is awful vibration and its smacking face closed on impact so club is turning in my hands upon strike any help or advice would be super as am on verge of packing in after being a 16 handicap to this omg :(:(

Took a look at your swing again. First thing I would do is get the eyes down more. Your eyes are too high and this causes your head to dip down at the start of the downswing. This starts to steepen the shaft, gets the club out at A6 and the handle swings left thru impact.

Also take a look at this post again. Do that hips pre-set drill and feel the handle raise and move out to the right.

    • Not really, no. I don't know the history, what you've worked on, what you've tried and moved away from… etc.
    • Day 9: 2/16/25 Putting through 50 mm gates from 11”. Swing pressure shift drills.
    • Definitely not a favorite… For some reason my wife and I started watching Cobra Kai. I know the original was pretty cheesy, but the inability of these people to get over shit that happened like 30 years ago is astounding. And these kids would be arrested, but they don’t even seem to get suspended from school. Would Danny not notice that Johnny’s son looks like Johnny? Etc.? Why would a completely different dojo that has the same name be “banned”? Oy. Not sure we’ll make it to season 2.
    • Day 139 - 2025-02-16 Weather led to a rescheduled GEARS lesson, so I used the time to work on my swing for 60 minutes or so. All downswing stuff. Some swings at 93 MPH. Most around 75-80.
    • A question I have is…this swing (fade, pull cut) does not  feel as good and easily repeatable as the draw swing we were working on previously.  I’m kinda in a weird spot where I do not know which direction will be the best to pursue. I like seeing a penetrating 5 yard draw but also like the thought of the fade not getting away from me as much.    Any thoughts on that?
