@Club Rat - The first local TST guy I met at StL Golf Expo... invited me to play at WingHaven, and is trying to organize some TST outings. Works on clubs, really knows the details...

@teamroper60 - The second local TST guy I met, also at expo. My wife Shirley and I supper with tr60 and wife Bernie at Golf Expo. Really a nice couple... I need to make it up to Troy MO to play with him.

The guys at St. Louis Archland Golfers ... we formed up this past summer, now we need to play together next summer.

@saevel25 - lots of good advice on clubs and the swing. Hope you can make the Dayton to StL trip next summer. This summer we were the SLDR Brothers , both doing reviews on some decent new sticks.

@jamo - One of our young guns, knows multiple facets of the game well. Good luck when you get to college. If we ever meet, I want a lob wedge lesson.

@iacas - Living the dream! An everyday guy who worked his way into professional golf. And, thanks for launching TST!

@mvmac - One of those pros who actually likes us amateurs. And, thanks for letting me test the SLDRs.

@Mr. Desmond - a fellow mature golfer. Gave me good second opinions on possible reshaft options for my X20 Tours, and shafts in general. I know other TST posters appreciate him too.

@cnl390 - We have a running discussion on refitting our golf bags, especially the longer clubs. Seems he's found his stuff with Ping equipment.

@SamGray gun. Remember to have fun when you play.

@normdamarine - Ran into him on TST, talking about Marine Corps and golf in Okinawa. Followed him through Big Break, and then lost track of him. Norm, have you retired yet?

@sean_miller - one of our best posters - seems to have faded away the last year or so. Come to St. Louis, Sean. You can play golf during day, and try baseball and brews at night.

@Ernest Jones - Good remarks on Manuel de la Torre swing method. A local golf school uses this method.

And to everyone else, you keep things interesting.

Now that I got this done, I can go back to regular posting! More soon...

Can we squeeze one in before it snows? I'll have to post it on the Archland msg board. Maybe @Club Rat could host another one where a few people actually show up.

    • Saw these today, this is a scam.  Joined in 2026.  Click his name and then his profile.  2 posts, no friends, one item for sale.  These clubs are probably takes from Temu. Facebook
    • Range again today. A few freezers and a few smoothies. If I add a little speed I swing further arms go deeper and lower and more across again. Really like where this freezer got to on backswing:   This is a smoothie (ish). Clubhead tracks up the hands nicely but the things go a bit wrong: At normal speed: Lastly one shortish pitch shot. Pitching some days I come out and can drop it on the flag. Other days it’s going sideways. Like missing right or left by 10 yards from 50 yards and nothing in between. I suspect it’s from the hands coming out and the cut across. If I release it on that line it’s going left. If I hold it off it’s going right and then it’s timing. When it’s off it’s off. Feels like if I can get that under control it will tighten up a lot.
    • Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course. Which I believe used to host a LPGA tournament. Fantastic course, compared to what I typically play. So fantastic I carded a 115! in my defense it was 90 degrees by 9 am in late July. Not to mention whatever grass they had around the green was absolutely foreign to me, I could not get my wedge through it. The entire grass came up like it was a piece of shag carpet. Suffice to say my short game was a mess. but good times!
    • Nice Berger choke job to the Anchor Man who putted well.
    • The most important thing in my mind was Akshay responding all day Sunday. He was 2 over and five back at the turn and just get grinding. bridies galore and then on the fifth he bogeyed and on the sixth he played it far enough right that if he missed a little left it would be right by the hole. It was and he made the eagle. Stayed in it, kept playing great and kept getting pars. He very much deserved the win.
