Working on Key 1 and 2.  Trying to get the bottom of my swing at the right spot, after the ball, and get it there consistently.  Slow, short, specific.

Other problems have crept in but I'm focusing on key 1 and 2 right now.

Video is full speed followed by 1/4 speed followed by some photos.

The problem I'm working on is my outside in swing.  By viewing videos I see that my shoulders are turning too soon on the downswing.  I'm trying to delay the turn of my shoulders in these practice videos.

I see I don't have any tilt at A1.  Also, my hands are maybe a hair too forward at setup.

My head is falling back about an inch on my back swing and 2 more inches on my down swing.  Need to fix that.

I'm losing my lag at A6 and my hands are too far behind my body.

I think my weight is forward on the downswing and my inline at impact is good.

I see a little bit of a chicken wing.

Lots to work on per my analysis for what that's worth.  I'm thinking get the head movement fixed first and I think a bit of tilt at my setup may fix the head moving back.

'm going to focus also on keeping the forearms close together to see if I can get rid of the chicken-wing.

Not sure if this is the cause of the chicken wing, but your head moves back quite a bit in the downswing.

EDIT: Never mind, just saw your recent post, you obviously know about that :)

Took a video this weekend.  As I have been doing for over a year, I mostly work on steady head and weight forward.  I've also been doing overspeed training and have gained club head speed and distance over the past month or so.  My club head speed was 80 mph and now is 90+ mph (the one in the video was 93 mph.

Unfortunately I have control problems, a two way miss or a push fade or a pull hook.  When I square up the club face to the target properly it's straight or draws.  But I'm really inconsistent with squaring up the club face and feel that I have to be overly active with my hands.  I could try strengthening my grip but feel that would be a compensation.  Any tips on getting the club head square more consistently?

Looking at the pictures I see I'm scrunching my shoulders a bit at impact.  I think that may be a problem?

Here's something I was looking at on my last video.  At approximately A6 my hands are too far away from the ball.  I think this may have to do with not getting my hands down quickly enough which leaves them too far behind my body in the swing sequence.  Undoubtedly leads to my inconsistent contact problems of sometimes hitting fat or thin and the difficulty I have with getting my divot after the ball.  Comparing myself to Adam Scott:

I worked on getting my hands more forward at A6.  At first I did this with just a shaft figuring it might be easy with something so light.  I've been spending some time doing this.

Then with a club hitting the ball, short swing and a bit slower than normal (short, slow, specific):

And some success:

Perhaps overdoing it though at impact.  Adam gets the clubhead down from A6 to A7 a lot faster relative to the speed that his arms/body are moving.  Not sure how to work on that, it seems to be a very athletic move.

    • Thanks! Better though? Not worried about overdoing it yet. These were also the best videos of several I took. More to be done for sure but moving in the right direction I think.
    • Can be out and up a little more. Not quite over-done yet.
    • Down the line and face on from today. Still feeling like I’m sticking the club into a hole in the ceiling above my right shoulder and then big loop inside to start downswing. That’s how it feels. Not how it looks though! Gotta keep working on this for a bit but I see a lot of progress. 😁
    • Day 5 (13 Mar 26) - Friday shootout cancelled- made it a practice round working from mixed tees. Plenty of up and down work around greens.  Best was a hole out birdie on the par 3 #5 hole - nice pitch and roll w/Pw from about 10yds off the green - dead center flagstick drop.  Much of round was focused on getting solid weight shift into lead foot.
    • Day 208 3-13 Worked on wrist arching and flow. First time hitting reall balls at a range in months. It was nice to see ball flight. Still not sure it beats my backyard practice station.
