Ok cool. Sorry if there's a misunderstanding. I don't have a team. I was calling my lineup my team like what one has with their players in fantasy football.

I'll see how it goes the further it goes along into the season. Thanks!

@Crim uses a similar strategy which is useful when selecting my weekly lineups.

Players which usually preformed well in certain regions/courses over their careers or players on a hot streak, are a decent choice.

The rookies and less experience players are difficult choices and are usually a gamble.

I lookup the 3-4 prior years of the events and select any players with multiple top ten performances.

Also once the event starts, you will see each teams lineup for the week.

Check out @gogolfing lineup, he has been a multiple champion and maybe pickup on players of his choice.

Club Rat

Agree @Club Rat a lot of times there are horses for courses, so look at their history on a course. The PGA Tour website has a good fantasy section you can check this out on. Then I look at guys who have been "hot as of late" and will go with them.

Another strategy I sometimes use on limited field events with no cut like this one is to use players who I normally wouldn't so I don't burn a start on a guy who I may use all 10 starts for. No cut, so sometimes I take a flyer on a guy in a tourney like this and save my other guys for different events.

Back at it today...good luck to all. Recognize a lot of names from previous years, so will be fun.

Took Streelman out and put in Zach Johnson for the 3rd round...Streelman shoots a 6 under, I miss out on 18 points...don't you love it when that happens?

Actually, I had Reed in my C list and he scored the same amount of points as Bae, so no harm done. Jimmie Walker on the bench hurt though. I played Kuchar and ZJ and the got me points, but I could have cleaned up if I played JW. Oh well. Not bad for my first ever go at this. Fun stuff!

I was thinking the military situation might distract Bae. I wouldn't mind seeing him win to help pad his case against returning to South Korea to serve.

I also was on the fence about putting in Bubba today. I think his starts will be in high demand later in the year.

I played Bubba on my A List. I thought the relaxed nature of this event might suit him well. I'm leaving him in next week. We'll see.

Added: The situation with Bae might have him more focused. He better win some money while he still can.

    • They sure do. 158 with an 8 iron is on the high end for me
    • Went back to controlling my knees. That part was getting a bit sloppy when I worked on my backswing. Right hip didn't slide or gain internal rotation. I would just rotate back and around and the left knee would be in a bad spot. Really focusing now on keeping my left knee very stable and straighter in the backswing. I can't go back to the old pattern of overturning the hips. I was returning to my old pattern to time my downswing. Turn forever.  Left knee controls both knees and hips, acting as an anchor. Feel like it straightens a bit.   Hinge sooner and faster. Not in a way that sends the hands out and flips the club over. I still noticed when the hands get to A2.5, the hands would want to flip over and flatten the club out a ton.  Still trying to figure out how to roll the forearms a bit open and not just roll the club inside a ton.  Figure out the timing to get the hands down. Still getting a bit of right elbow collapsing in the downswing because the arms are too high when I turn. Everything is happening sooner now. If the hips are controlled, the backswing is shortened. Because it is shortened I don't know when to get the hands down and I just turn because the downswing is a go.  Very slow (50%) swings are decent.
    • Distances look fine, no?
    • Day 207-12 Wider backswing and arm reconnecting in downswing. Did a much better job with proper wrist movements through downswing today.
    • Trackman place today. I broke my tripod so could only film by hand the video the venue’s cameras generated. This is an 8 iron. Amazing how odd this feels relative to how it looks. Not similar!
