My Swing (GolfLug)

Played Mattaponi Springs yesterday north of Richmond, one of the toughest and hilliest layout I've played anywhere. This is pic looking back at the fairway from next to the green of the 9th hole. The pic doesn't do justice but that's a good 50-60 feet drop. Lot of forced carries to the greens which were heavily tired and slow as molasses. Lot of fairway runoffs. Visually beautiful course though. Played mostly defense and shot a meh 82 loosing five shots in the first six holes.

    • Some screenshots The Bad - This position To this position Basically, how my wrists are oriented causes me to throw the club at the ball.  When I get my hands from top of swing down to A6, I get in a better position.  LOADS more shaft lean here! I would say the hands are a good 3-4 inches forward at impact here.  The base is good. Backswing good. Best it has been in a LONG TIME! Hands are getting down better, but how I route the club head was not helping me out.
    • Yeah, that's too far back IMO, and will generally lead to EE (during the backswing, even).
    • We do athletic things from the balls of our feet. I'm not really on board with having it in the middle. Various topics here will discuss that.
    • Video analysis I had done not too long ago revealed that at address my hips were too far behind me at address.  If you drew a line from my hip joint straight down in a down-the-line view, that line was at or behind my heels.  It was the first step toward early extension in the downswing and an over-the-top path.  So I've tried to get my hip joint directly over the center of my ankles at address, but every time I do this (using a mirror or video), my weight shifts toward my toes.  Probably balls of feet is more accurate.  I do this because if I DON'T do that I tend to 'fall forward' because my balance is shifted too far forward.  Thus the balls/toes are used to compensate. But there's so much instruction online that says do NOT have your weight as far forward as the balls of your feet...it's supposed to be evenly distributed between toes and heels. So I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't...  If I have weight in the center of my feet, then my hips are too far back (to keep me balanced).  If I have the hips in the right place, then my weight is too far forward (again, to keep me balanced). Any advice/thoughts?
