Damn, I left my PW on a Par 3 today, I brought two clubs to the tee with me and left with the one I hit. I asked the groups behind me and noone found it, kind of hard to believe. I left my phone number at the front desk so we'll see if it turns up. I cant believe that noone would turn the club in if they found it, however my fault for leaving it there.

Could be a tough one to replace also.

I can't believe they don't get returned. I could never and would never keep a club that I found on a course. I actually found a SW on the 15th of last weekend. Placed in the cart and waited for its owner to look for it.

As soon as I saw the guy's look on his face, I knew he was looking for his wedge.

not hard to replace, irons can be ordered individually through a retailer with an account with the respective company. pretty simple actually

as for someone not returning the club, well... we all make mistakes (that is one of the biggest reasons why I hate cart golf, I always leave a club behind. Luckily I catch myself in time to go back and pick it up within a few minutes)

I found one and only one site that has the PW in used condition for 69 bucks and with shipping and tax comes out to about 88 dollars. This set brand new right now in the store is worth 329. Is it worth it for me to spend 88 dollars on just a PW or suck it up and deal with it for the rest of this season and then look to get new clubs for next year? Im leaning toward getting the PW. Or I can just buy the set online and then complain that it didnt come with a PW. haha that would be awful i would not do that.

Anyway Im leaning towards just buying the wedge. Thoughts? This is my second year playing with these clubs and I do really like them.

I can't believe they don't get returned. I could never and would never keep a club that I found on a course.

I was playing a few weeks ago with a buddy I don't normally play with. We have an agreement beforehand that whoever spots another golf ball first gets to keep it after we determine that it's not someone else's ball in play. Upon approaching the #14 or #15 par 3, we find a brand new (has to be new, it was so shiny) TaylorMade 6-iron.

He immediately says "MINE I SAW IT FIRST!" I told him no, it's not yours, we're going to turn it in to the pro shop when we finish if no one comes up to us to claim it. He gets upset, says "I've left clubs behind before and no one ever returns them," and puts the 6-iron in his bag. I say "sorry to hear that, but I'm still turning it in," take the club out of his bag and put it in mine. He reaches for it again, I give him a stern: "DUDE!," and he stops and drops the issue. Jeez... what is so hard about just being honest? (Besides... if you can't hit your own 6-iron what makes you think you'll be able to hit someone else's? LOL) Sorry to hear about your loss man. On the bright side (if there is any), now you have an excuse to spend money on a new club. At least you didn't lose something that is hard to purchase individually like a 3I-9I.

That sucks that nobody turned it in for you. I just checked ebay thinking there would be one there. Only a ton of 6 irons and 1 9iron.

Well, if someone did take it and not turn it in, here hopes karma kicks his ass! Nothing but shanks every time he hits it

It's too bad this story is all too common.

The one who took it may be selling it on eBay. Just keep checking on it regularly. If it shows up with the seller who lives in your area, make sure you ask for local pickup as the shipping option.

I have to say, that's one of the best things about being left handed. No one wants your clubs. I've left my PW and my 60 on the side of a green a couple times and the group behind us usually drives up in their cart with it, that or I go back and get it.

    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
    • Day 22: Hit balls with 7-iron using mevo+ to track dispersion. Was out for a long time after work; 86 balls but the first 50+ were 50% swings focusing on top of backswing feel and then just hitting the ball as a psychic reward. Finished with 20 balls close to full speed. Pretty happy with dispersion and also no horrendous misses. I’m chunking my priority piece out into two separate feels, first and more important is the position/balance at top of backswing which is what I was working on. Once I have that engrained I’ll move to transition part.
    • FWIW I never really had issues with the previous generation of Snells. But… I'm not sure I played them a ton, either.
    • I know Dean Snell designed the original Pro V along with a couple of other brands tour balls.  How exactly does the Snell ball have problems.  Did he change something in the design or is a manufacturing error since he cannot afford the unlimited R&D budgets of the big manufacturers to iron out flaws
