Has anyone had a chance to play this ball that is specially made for pros?  Saw an article and they mentioned the +.

Yup, found one on the course after the Mid-Am. It seems to hit about the same as the v1x. Only used it on one hole.

Supposedly the dimple pattern is a bit different and creates a higher flight. Kind of strange, I would think something like that would be more suitable for low SS golfers than the pros.

Supposedly the dimple pattern is a bit different and creates a higher flight. Kind of strange, I would think something like that would be more suitable for low SS golfers than the pros.

It was after the Mid amateur. I found lots of balls in the barranca while getting mine and my partners out the other day. It didn't go that much higher, but I have low trajectory shafts in all my clubs. I tend to hit low, so I probably am not the right person to judge the new dimple pattern.

Billabong, if I'm not mistaken, is also from Torrey ... It's part of the name of that pond by the 18th green.

      Day 5 - 2024-10-05 Hit some somewhat soft pitching wedges. The outside and inside, particularly the outside of the left thumb where my right hand goes on it, is still pretty sore. I don't think I'll do more damage, but I'm reluctant to do too much because I don't want to compensate or alter my motion.

      Day 156 (05 Sep 24) - Played new to me course today, it’s near our beach place and have been wanting to play it for a couple of years now.  It’s a neat Par 70 that plays just over 6k from the tips, played the whites 5,500 +/-.  Tight fairways and severely undulating greens made for some great shot strategy.  Wound up with an even 80 that included two lost ball penalties.  Putter was solid - 28 total.  Wedge play kept the pars happening - 6 of the 9 pars were up and downs.  Not bad for the first time on a new course.
