It's a shame that UK TV golf coverage is getting as bad as the USA and mainly following golfing NAMES no matter how they are playing (eg the USA & Woods) instead of showing players playing GOOD GOLF. Today the best player - JOOST LUITEN wasn't shown AT ALL. I'd have thought they'd realise golfers wanna watch the BEST players too... BTW he was -7 for the day

I partly agree. Yes, having the best round of the entire field it's strange that he pretty much didn't got airtime. Actually, the video highlight of the ET website of yesterday, they didn't even mention him (?!). On the other hand he has himself to 'blame'. Let's call it what it is: this season so far he sucks, as did his play in round one. Even after the best round of day 2 he's nit in the top 10 (T13). I'm sure if he plays a solid round today we'll see plenty of him, being in contention for top 5 then.

He finished at +8 for the day to drop to the bottom of the leader board. I'm glad Ben hung in there and shot -2 for the day playing with him. I think it would be rough having to play along with someone struggling that badly.

Is it me or does it look like G-Mac gained a lot of weight? He got fat. Drinking too many Guiness. Could explain his game being down. Weight changes can sometimes impact your game.

I stand corrected at this btw. Yesterday Luiten shot birdies on 15, 16 and 17 to bring him to T3 and one shot of the lead at that moment. Nothing was shown... unbelievable.

The Golf Channel's (and later, NBC) coverage yesterday was horrible. They have very few cameras there and as such, really only followed 6 guys. They joked with Rickie after the round that they left he and Kuchar after the 12th hole and as soon as they did, both went off, completely uncovered until 18. It was frustrating. Fox is setting the standard, I hope the others adopt some of their best practices, especially taking along a few more cameras.

After three holes today, they already showed him more than the other three days combined ;) Just as Fowler, a solid start with 3 pars. Jaquelin and Brooks switched places and scores.

Joost almost always falls away on the final day after being nicely in contention. I hope that Daniel holds it together today but got a rotten feeling that Fowler might nick it.

Dubuisson is showing a lot of frustration. Jacquelin and Brooks still leading at -11. The afternoon groups seem to struggle to get below par. Luiten wit two bogeys in a row and at -8.

From the late afternoon groups no-one is under par after the front nine it seems. Leader Jacquelin just shot a provisional after a very bad tee shot.

The Frenchman Jacquelin plodding along steadily, but it looks like Kuchar is charging for the lead.

    • Wordle 1,652 X/6* 🟨⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 Yup - one of those Wordle moments….
    • The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  OP makes this statement "I now understand that standards are different on the "private course." But I'll take those lessons to the muni, too."  No, the standards are not different.  You, sir, seem to be just a bit hard headed and belligerent, even if you are college professor...which possibly explains a lot.   JMHO
    • Day 32: worked for about 10 minutes on my drill. Filmed it as well for a check in. I think it’s slightly better but still seeing some issues.
    • Day 44 (26 Dec 25)  -  played in the Friday men’s shootout with a twist - used the Toney Penna persimmons and MacGregor blades - had a blast playing these clubs.  They really help in zoning in on making solid ball contact.  Scoring was solid - had several looks at birdie and had a few par saves.  Overall a day of focused course management.
    • Day 2: 2025.12.27 Eighteen holes at Kauri Cliffs. Focusing on trying to keep flex in right leg during backswing.
