I'm not saying Hearn won't win it, on the other hand. No way do I put money down saying he will.

I agree, I'd be more likely to bet money the pressure gets to him and he isn't in the Top 5 at the end of tomorrow.

I'll buck the trend and say I think he wins it. Bubba will have some sloppy holes.

I didn't know that there was a "secondary cut" when more than 78 players make the cut. That's why there are a bunch of players with a MDF status above the cut line of the leader board.

Yeah, I didn't know that either.  Until I happened to wake up early this morning and checked my Yahoo fantasy team.  My "C" starter Scott Piercy was MDF.  So I switched to Tony Finau, who went on to post a -7 this morning.  (I would've left Piercy as the starter if he hadn't got cut.  lol)

That's the fantasy league equivalent of boinking off a greenside sprinkler head and ending up three feet from the hole. :-D

Bingo. I want the season to finish out sans any long putter wins. I can't help but root against anyone who uses it.

Jason Day is going to ruin David Hearn's Day.

I just realized that pun there, wow. *Pats self on back*.

Not before Jason's Day at the beach...

Really fun final round. As much as I don't care to watch pros with those long putters, I was kinda pulling a little for Hearn today. Glad Day eked it out though. He's gotta be a top 2 or 3 pick for the PGA.

As expected, Hearn didn't play well enough to win today, I'm glad Day did.

Agreed. Good enough to hold up his position but not enough to hold off the caliber of players in the mix.

    • Many thanks.  I read a lot of those posts.   Man, that is really deep.  As an old beginner, during a lesson or on the driving range, I have hit a good shot, you know pretty straight and it goes say 130 yards (7 iron).  The very next swing, I dig a ditch behind the ball.  I know I didn't do the same things on both swings.  Even this last lesson I had, I would hit a pretty good shot, not so on the next shot.  The instructor would quickly point out, "Hey you stayed on your back foot" or "Guess what happened there.  You got all armsy or handsy".  Sort of feels like I need a checklist when I prepare to swing each time.  I can see it now before every swing, "Hey can you guys give me 10 minutes while I run through my checklist".  In all seriousness, I see what you all are saying.  I wouldn't be overthinking it so much if just I could make decent contact most of the time.  Next lesson is about two weeks away.  Can't wait.

    • I was going to link in the same think @snapfade did.  Your swing is already consistent, repeatable, except for nearly "microscopic" differences.  The more mechanically-sound your swing becomes, the smaller and less frequent those "microscopic" deviations become.
