Next Thursday the third World Golf Championship of this season starts: Brigdestone Invitational at the Firestone CC.

Last year Rory McIlroy, who won't be able to defend his title due to an injury, won followed by Garcia at 2 shots and Leishman at 3.

As always the field will be very strong http://www.worldgolfchampionships.com/bridgestone-invitational/field.html

Given his track record, the odds are there that it will. He's finished in the top-10 in his 3 previous tourneys before a major and we saw how those turned out.

There was several times when he missed a putt that they said he hit it off the heel, but it didn't appear to be the case to me. The compression thing was just dumb as hell.

Woods should play the Barracuda Championship if he's serious about making the Fed Ex Cup Playoffs. Given his track record at Whistling Straits, I wouldn't expect much out of him at the PGA this year, especially given the high rough off the fairways.

Tiger would likely miss the cut at the Barracuda Championship.

Perhaps he should play in the pot game at my home course this weekend, instead. It would serve as a confidence builder . . . maybe.

I'll be there Wednesday with my camera. Anybody want a shot of a particular golfer playing this week?  Happy to get you a good shot of your favorite golfer provided I can accurately identify the player by the name on the bag!  Sometimes it's difficult because this is such a global field this week.

Let me know or I'll just post the shots I get on Thursday or Friday to this thread.

Anybody want a shot of a particular golfer playing this week?  Happy to get you a good shot of your favorite golfer provided I can accurately identify the player by the name on the bag!  Sometimes it's difficult because this is such a global field this week.       First going to spain for a long weekend in March probably going to play La Quinta, Los Arqueros and Fina Cortesin, and first week in May will compete in the Crawsnest Tassie at Carnoustie golf links, that will be a full week of golf golf golf and more golf.       Day 47: simulator day! Played St. Andrew’s and shot a +1. Not bad, especially with having to putt at this simulator set up. Had about 5 minutes at the end to work on some feels as well.

      I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
