on the course, two bottles of water in the summer, one on the shoulder seasons; a 5hr energy slug of sugar caffeine, and if I am not staying for a beer then container of chocolate milk on the way home.  I play courses with lots of forest areas.

Lots and lots of water. I carry an insulated 20 ounce bottle on the course with me and I usually will fill it up 7 or 8 times. Twice before I play while I warm up, then every three holes or so as I go around. It keeps me nice an hydrated and allows me to snack on jerky or granola bars without feeling thirsty afterwords.

protein shakes and water.

Tried beer once and my game went south.  So no more beer on the course.

Lucozade sport for me, but tempted to take a hip flask with whiskey to straighten things up, and relax the swing
