Mad skills on that backhoe operator!

Last Tuesday, we played a local favorite course. On the first hole, there was a backhoe in the bunker next to the green. They were rebuilding it. Of course, my approach shot was behind the bunker with the backhoe in the way!

I was impressed when the guy was adjusting pieces of sod. A light feathery touch that person has behind the controls ;)

We had a similar situation at a local course. Water department needed to put in a new line to a pump. They cut across the fairway and left the backhoe right in the middle of the fairway. Luckily this hole was one where I just aim right to cut the corner. I bet a lot of people ended up right behind that thing.

Looking at the Hell Bunker video, I remembered something that I read.  Those reveted (sod-faced) bunkers need to be rebuilt pretty regularly, something like every 5 years
