I've browsed TST for a few years and know if I am serious about my game I should join. I have a high handicap and goals of bringing it down.

i play in lots of Maine State Golf Assoc weekend tourneys and at least weekly at my home course, RiverMeadows, Westbrook, Maine. As a matter of fact, I played a near by course last Friday, 12/18//2015 which is very late for us. I've also been skiing. ( Man made stuff ). temps for Christmas Eve to be in 60s

Tomorrow I will start on a series of lessons with my club pro indoors. I just finished reading Hogan's Five lessons and watching many YouTube of his swing. I have a net set up in loft in barn and am trying to swing everyday. I've been lucky so far but it is not heated . We should have a foot of snow by now  and winter will come I am sure of that.

My best round started with a bogey, birdie, birdie at a weekend MSGA event at Sanford CC before realality set in and followed 9 and 9 on next two par 5s. I know the game is there and want so bad to play well.

I retired a year ago December and as mentioned prior, it is my goal to play better golf. I  also volunteered this past year at our Maine Amature , three days as a fore caddie and it was great to get to see good golf.

So, hello to all and look forward to TST and the golf ahead.

Great to see a fellow Mainer! My last round was in mid-November which was definitely pretty good. I am in Mars Hill so our season is a bit shorter but thankfully I have a simulator at school I can use in my office which passes the time. I am going to be trying to qualify for the Maine Amateur in the summer, hoping!

Hey Mainuh. One of my golfing buds live in Westbrook. I was thinking of hitting up Nonesuch or Old Marsh this weekend. Quite a few tracks open in Maine. Welcome to the trap!
