Temps ~40 degrees C. So shorts are allowed during practice in Eurasia Cup? Guess so. Probably not during competition.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

How humid is it?  540 R is about the point where I start needing to wear shorts instead of pants when playing (judgment call or pants below that).

I have no idea why golf pros do not wear shorts.

Professional golf should join the 20th century.

Tennis has joined the 20th century and no longer requires whites shirts and white shorts only.

Golf is supposed to be an athletic sport so why not shorts in hot weather.

Maybe then it will finally shed its stuffy image.

I live in Malaysia and it is always hot and humid here! Lately a few degrees hotter. I play with pants sometimes and a lot if times if they are in a light color it is cooler than sun directly on the skin.

Might go and watch some of the play but the course is quite boring overall. The sponsors own the facility and of course wants it to be played there.

theyre wearing shorts?  and yet still the earth turns and the apocalypse has not yet started. cmon PGATour, get with the program.

For me pants work better than shorts, provided they are light coloured, cotton and breathable.  No direct sun on your body reduces the heat you feel.  Don't see the need for shorts on the PGA tour.  Think on TV the look also does matter.  After all, TV is what led to the players getting such high pay cheques

Same for me.  I alway wear a long pants precisely for this reason.  No direct sun and no sunscreen to put on.
