As the long weekend draws closer, and I'm making my golf plans, I thought it would be the right time to extend my gratitude to all who have served or are currently serving in our military, as well as their families.  This is a new thread, but its worthwhile to link this one to last year's Memorial Day thread.

I have no plans at all. I teach Friday, Sunday, and have a USKG event with @NatalieB on Saturday that I hope we get to play (no rain, no rain, no rain, no lightning, no lightning…).

I'm playing golf with my Dad and my wife, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  Plus our club has a picnic on Sunday, which is always fun.

As a previous member of the US Air Force (1984-89) thank you.  And I will extend my gratitude to those who served and continue to serve as well.

I had a grandfather in the navy in WWII and an uncle in the army (bronze star recipient) who served active tours in Vietnam.

God bless our troops, active, retired, and especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice. May they never be forgotten. Thank you all for your service.

Got a new flag to fly Monday. In laws coming out. Going to do a lot of barbecuing and swimming. Golfing Sunday and Monday morning.

Thank you to all the SandTrappers and your family members who serve or have served in the military.

Sadly too many people forget that this weekend isn't about beach openings and BBQ's it's a way for us to remember, thank and recognize those who make the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy all the freedoms we have.
