Exactly. Good/great QBs can make even average receivers look good. BR has a knack for finding receivers down field even when a play looks broken.

The O-Line has a lot to do with it as well. The best QB in the world will have issues if the D is always in his face. There are a few that seem to thrive under pressure, but they are freaks.

Agreed, but the Steelers o-line hasn't always been good. BR seems to make something out of nothing. Rogers is similar in that manner. Brady just gets rid of the ball so fast it doesn't matter.

They still aren't good. They just get away with a lot of holding. They were getting called for it when they played Philly. Just sayin.

Julio Jones needs some more love in this thread. I'd take him over Brown because he's physically more dominant.

It's really hard to choose between the two, they're really on a tier by themselves, with AJ Green and Odell in the next tier.

Beckham is overrated imo.  He makes 1 ridiculous catch and suddenly people think he is a god.  If he didn't get thrown off his game so easily by simple school yard taunting maybe I'd rank him higher but for now I think he belongs in the "still needs to prove himself" pile.

Anyway, with Calvin Johnson gone I think the best is probably Dez Bryant, or yes even old man Larry Fitzgerald.

I think in terms of spotlight, Beckham is the go-to favorite because he's got freakish hands and is quite the personality which really draws a lot of attention to himself. But if I were to be starting a franchise and were able to pick a WR to be my #1, I would absolutely choose Julio Jones. He is more of an athlete than Beckham or Brown. He is more physical than the others as well and still puts up higher numbers despite being the only passing threat on his team which teams can key in on. Beckham is incredibly explosive but less consistent and not as much of a physical player as Julio while Antonio Brown is very reliant on his QB play or else he simply is not a Top5 receiver.

    • That’s totally fair. I have my chipping issues which make my putter more playable in that situation. Really just confirming that while not optimal there comes a point where if you need to use a putter (for whatever reason) then the optimal mechanics breaks down. I know I’m a sample of one. 😂
    • Day 329 - 2025-08-26 Hit 24 balls before lessons and JEP Summer Session. With the MP-33. 🙂 Put an undersized grip on my VR Pro accidentally.
    • Well, that's not really a putt at that point. You could easily choose to putt that up the slope with a hybrid or something.
    • Day 15 (August 26).  I missed practice yesterday, but otherwise had a 14-day streak going into it.  Somehow, some of my posts for this appear in my profile but I can't seem to see them (I hope I didn't break any rules that would cause them to be removed).  I am hoping I'll be able to keep doing some practice while I'm out to regain the red text.  Context:  am on vacation, this week with friends.  What was today's actual practice? Today, a friend and I decided to go to TopGolf;  it was kind of like being at the range with someone else's clubs.  And that's ultimately how I was able to use it for practice:  I don't practice choosing a target, lining up to it, and then hitting often enough;  that's what this place seems to be about.  In any case, we were there for 90 minutes, I was hitting for maybe 35-40 minutes of that time, and I did pick a target each time.
    • Day 2 - (26 Aug 25) - Church men’s golf nine hole Captains choice.  Had grandson as part of our group - was a blast watching him drill the putts.  Love these no pressure sessions - great for going outside the norm on club selection.
