Found this piece on smart shoes. It looks like the shoes track information similar to Swing Catalyst, pressure distribution, center of mass, that sort of thing. Don't know how accurate it is compared to Swing Catalyst, guessing it isn't, sort of like those swing analyzer clip ons compared to real radar. Anyways, here's the Kickstarter, It's about $190 and then goes to $400.

I think it would have a broader potential market if it was inserts rather than integrated into the shoe itself.

These look cool. I'm pretty sure pressure sensors are sensitive enough to be put into shoes and be pretty accurate. I mean really all they have to do is get some idea of the total amount of pressure you are exerting and then do calculations to determine percentage distribution and all that.

Still a bit out of my ballpark though but it's definitely something I'm interested in.

I agree, but I don't know how feasible it would be to make in the form of inserts. The soles of these shoes look pretty thick and I'm sure there is a reason for it. I don't know about you, but I can't fit thick insoles into my golf shoes.

If I did get a pair of these, I'd use them strictly for practice.

But in all seriousness I'm still interested in them, but for $360 it's not exactly at the top of my list of purchases.

I have a pair of these I was in the kickstarter, I don't know how accurate they are I don't have anything to really compare them to. In fact I really haven't used them much maybe once or twice.

That's about what I expected out of them. You'd use them once to get your data and if you need to work on something, then you'd check it once in a while to observe your progress. Not something you need to practice with all the time and I'd argue is unnecessary as long as you're filming yourself. Most definitely not worth $400.

BTW what's your shoe size? 😉
