Apple's September 7, 2016 Event

12:59 - Just crowd shots while the music plays. An announcement says the event will start soon.

13:01 - A video intro with the guy who sings in cars. The late night guy.

James Cordon. Carpool Karaoke. Tim Cook is singing.

13:04 - okay getting old.

13:04 - On stage. I'll skip if they recap a bunch of stuff unless it's unusual or surprising.

13:09 - Mario is on the App Store. Nintendo is apparently on board now.

13:10 - Wow and Shigeru Minamoto is on stage. I used to be heavily involved in gaming, and this guy is weirdly cultish in his following.

13:13 - Okay still going on about this left-to-right jumping game. Yawn.

13:16 - Okay that's over now.

13:19 - Swift Playgrounds/school promo stuff. Cool, but for this event… yawn. My wife's school just went to fucking PCs. Everyone hates them.

13:24 - New products, beginning with Apple Watch.

13:25 - Apple Watch is second in sales revenue in the world. Behind Rolex. With just 8 months of sales.

13:26 - I love mine. Customer sat is high.

13:27 - Jeff Williams going over watchOS 3. Which I've heard from those running the betas that it's as awesome as they say.

13:29 - People are still playing Pokémon Go?

Actually I don't, but I image the hoards of people who are losing their minds right now.

The Japanese guys (both those that are living here and those in Japan) are nuts about Pokemon Go. It is BIG in Japan.

I love my Apple Watch! Devs struggle at first but they've gotten better over time. Especially Golfshot Pro which I used to track my game before I switched to GGLive. 

I'm hoping for some really cool changes to the Watch, looks like I won't be dissapointed.

13:39 - Form factor stays the same, it looks like. S2 SiP (system in a package). Dual core processor up to 50% faster, new GPU, 2x faster. I just wonder who will get my old one.

13:41 - Lots of activity focus. Duh. GPS built-in now.

The GPS will be a great addition for the Golf tracking apps as well and will help increase the time to getting a distance from just the watch. Nice!

13:45 - ceramic watch now. Looks good, but I think I like my stainless steel because it's just available in white.

13:46 - I guess they're just assuming that everyone knows the existing bands will fit.

13:49 - Nike Apple Watch? Okay… what's different about it? It's just an app, or what? With a special band?

13:50 - Looking like this is just going to be about phones and watches. Nothing else.

13:52 - Four cool colors for Nike. Whatever.

13:53 - Pre-orders on September 9th. I missed the prices. Starts at $369 I now read.
