Another one that never gets old (in the Diehard/Ref category of not really Christmas movies but moreso just movies set during the holidays) is Trading Places.

Shit, I forgot to put that on my list. I actually started to edit my post to add it, but my wife started giving me the "it's sexy time" look, so I never got around to it.

My absolute favorite is Its A Wonderful Life. Frank Capra movies are great. I watch that one every Christmas Eve. As others have mentioned. Scrooged. Christmas Vacation and Trading Places. We watched  Scrooged last week. Best line: "the b itch hit me with a toaster".

A Christmas Story is/was good but entirely overplayed.

On Christmas Eve, we always pick a Christmas movie and most of the time they are so bad somebody falls asleep.    This year, my mother-in-law said she was picking the movie..  Should be interesting!

One of my favorite Christmas time movies is "Pocket Full Of Miracles" with Betty Davis and Glen Ford. Not so much a Christmas movie, but it did get a lot of play during the holiday season.

Probably my two favorite non-christmas Christmas movies are WIzard of Oz and Sound of Music.  They Always play during Christmas time.  I used to be able to play the entire Sound off Music soundtrack on the piano.

Scrooge is great, Die-Hard Rocks, even Die-Hard 2 was a good Christmas movie, but my favorite Christmas Movie is a Christmas Carol, I like all the versions, with Alastair Sim, Albert Finney, George C Scott and even Patrick Stewart.

My favorite is "Scrooge" starring Albert Finney.  I am also fond of the Patrick Stewart version. I watched the 1935 original on Hulu the other night and enjoyed it as well.

Least favorite is Jingle all the Way. I also dislike all Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movie attempts. I am also not fond of It's a Wonderful Life.
