at least it wasn't Dean Martin. Dean used to play a lot at the Riveria and was not all that well liked I heard. He did consider himself to be a pretty decent golfer.

That's how I found it. I was researching some old music classics, which led to Dean Martin, and then this clip...

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

Cool, then you got me curious about how the movie ends, or at least if Harvey won the bet or lost his 2 weeks wages. :-D

It seems like Dean Martin was a really good golfer.

Yeah, Lewis has a really decent swing especially considering that he didn't golf nearly as much as many of us :-P

Watched this too. Good find 

At the last few mins Snead gives Lewis a lesson and tells him his grip is too strong 

He likes to take money from an opponent with a strong grip and fast swing 

Times have really changed

I think we forget all about these when we were compiling our lists of golf movies. I like the era and how they seemed to represent the golfers of the time as cool guys.

I use old Taylor Made clubs from eBay and golf shops.

Definitely, This should be on The Golf Channel. One of my favorites and as inspiration for my screen name was/is The Legend of Bagger Vance. (I think I got that right)

I will suggest to the golf channel and see what they say. It wouldn't cost that much to run some of these oldies.

I remember a thread, probably on another forum, regarding Dean Martin's play. He loved to make wagers, angered easily, some thought him to be quite obnoxious. Although a "decent" player, his abilities were far less than he thought them to be. This is only here say however, but taken from comments from people who claimed to have been there and/or participated,

50 years ago, good grief, it doesn't feel that long, my sister and I used to get a Jerry Lewis carnival kit every year to help raise money for MD.

      I’d go with the Titleist if you liked the look of the blades but were suffering with distance. They should be a little more forgiving than a full blade and still retain some workability. Also remember to consider the shafts each have as this will be a big contributor to how they feel. Clemsonfan is right though… get fit or spend a bit of time on a launch monitor 🤙

      Hi All my New Year’s resolution was to start playing golf again. I’ve caught the bug and am really enjoying hitting balls at a couple of my local ranges.looking forward to getting back out on courses in the spring. Based in the UK and 38 years old, I’ve been playing since I was a kid. Best handicap I’ve held is 2 in my mid 20s. Over the past 10 years I’ve played once or twice a year, sometimes with friends or for work. Could shoot 4-5 over, but just as easily shoot 15-20 over. I’ve moved to South Wales and am very lucky to be near some world class links courses, which gives me even more motivation to get playing again! I will start looking for a local coach in my area when I have more time to invest, but I recalled scouring this forum a few years ago and finding some good tips and advice so wanted to give it a try to see if there were any glaring issues I could fix in the meantime!  A few swings below… one from 1st week Jan and one from today. I have fixed my P1 takeaway to my liking and am now working on what I see as pretty severe early extension & hip thrust. Also terrible hip rotation. I’d like confirmation that this is indeed a problem and and suggestions on a few good drills. Thanks for reading 🙂 I've been Playing Golf for: 30+ years My current handicap index or average score is: 10ish over My typical ball flight is: mid The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: push right with irons, hooks and push with driver!  Videos:
