For show? Or for actual use?

There are rules that govern the form, shape, etc. of golf shafts, grips, etc.

Neat.  You don't need a custom putter...what about a custom-printed and/or custom-molded round grip?  You could then paint the putter shaft green (or red, if you're an "Empire" kinda guy).

Just a quick Google search revealed a few places that could probably help you:

It sounds like an awesome idea, but whoever you get to do the coloring, make sure that you get some sort of guarantee about how it's going to turn out. I just have this bad feeling that it'll look amazing on paper but when you actually doesn't get it in your hands it won't look so vibrant.

FYI:

  Quote

(i) For clubs other than putters the grip must be circular in cross-section, except that a continuous, straight, slightly raised rib may be incorporated along the full length of the grip, and a slightly indented spiral is permitted on a wrapped grip or replica of one.

(ii) A putter grip may have a non-circular cross-section, provided the cross-section has no concavity, is symmetrical and remains generally similar throughout the length of the grip.

(iii) The grip may be tapered but must not have any bulge or waist. Its cross-sectional dimensions measured in any direction must not exceed 1.75 inches (44.45 mm).

(iv) For clubs other than putters the axis of the grip must coincide with the axis of the shaft.

Rule II is what would prevent you from doing anything too realistic if you want to play with the putter.

If you don't...well, just buy a lightsaber handle and epoxy a putter shaft to it.

As the voice of reason here.... don't waste your money. However, I have seen a lot of Star Wars fans and know you won't listen...

    • Sounds about right. I forgot this place existed until now.
    • Day 5: Mirror work focusing on the start of the backswing
    • Day 82 (22 Jul 25) - played our church men’s group captains choice nine hole this evening.  Had a blast working green side shots with the wedges.  Love the format as I play a nine club bag which brings on shot creativity in a fun way.
    • Finished Bandon Trail today. Man what a course. Big upgrade over Sheep Ranch. I am giving Sheep Ranch a  7/10. Mostly views, course was good, and fun.  I am giving Bandon Trails 8.25/10. It's up there with Sand Valley in my opinion. Much more demanding of the course. With the wind it just gets brutal.  The first two holes are fully exposed to the wind, since they sit on the western edge of the course, open to the pacific. Even though it is tree lined, the wind has a big impact as it rolls over the hills and dunes. You can be surrounded by trees and feel the 20 mph wind at the tee box or fairway. I recommend using the yardage book, as it contains the course layout with a compass rose showing the prevailing wind (almost always from the north in the summer). It's easier to judge which direction the wind is going.  I played halfway decent. I hate when the shank gets loaded into the gun. Short game is on point, putting is good. I just need to make better swigs. My shot is definitely not built for wind. 😭 Here are some photos...
    • Would he not be entitled to unplayable relief and a one stroke penalty? And wouldn't the drop for unplayable plausibly be the same as the one he took?  That he cited the wrong rule and no penalty makes this a two stroke penalty instead of one? I'm assuming I'm wrong and there is a rule that prevents the player from reinterpreting his actions afterwards?  Regarding rule 14.7 - wrong place - and the general penalty. In this case, he gained a significant advantage by having an unimpeded swing? Shouldn't the penalty be for a "serious breach"? DQ?
