I'm getting really irritated with phone sizes. I figured they would have shifted back to being smaller by now, but NOPE. Sure there's smaller ones available, but they aren't flagship. I want a fast, powerful phone that isn't 7 freaking inches.

I'm well aware I'm in the minority. I'm not saying the phone companies are making the wrong choice - that would be wildly ignorant considering they're multi-billion dollar companies...

Just opinions.

I'm confused. :hmm:

If your primary use is as a phone/texting device, small is good. If it's browsing, map directions, pictures/videos, larger is seemingly preferred. The latter seems to be the majority of users.

I'm comfortable with my iPhone 6 Plus, fits in most pockets I have. Just my opinion...

I have no issues carrying the iPhone 7 in my front or back pocket. I prefer the larger size.

The only issue with the 7 in the back pocket is making sure you don't bend or crush it when you sit. You need to shove it to the side or something?

My front pockets can fit an iPad mini.

Speaking of which, my iPhone was at my office one day, and when my family and I went to the mall I had to bring my iPad mini. Wouldn't you know it, I got a call. So I put it up to my head like any other phone and had my conversation. People looked at me funny and I just explained to them this is an iPhone 12 and I came back from the future. :-D

Yes, I've taken calls on the iPad. I usually stick the iPhone in the back pocket when I'm shopping or walking and not when sitting. But most of the time? It's in front.

Ah yes, taking it out looks so much better than playing with your butt every time you sit. :-D

I do a lot of sitting and standing up during the day.  When I am standing up, I have no problem with iPhone 6 size.  It is when I sit that I feel it is too bulky.  With SE, this is not a problem.

As I have mentioned a few times already, I now have a Motorola G5+ which to me is something akin to "magic" being as how I am not as culturally advanced as some. I like it, nice size, good battery life, learning curve not too bad. The Android interface is pretty neat and as long as I can find a WiFi connection, I am not burning up any plan data limits. (don't use data that much anyway).  I agree though, that some of the newer phones are approaching tablet size to the point of being ridiculous. Well, maybe that is an exaggeration, but you know what I mean. Need to find a mid point of form vs function.

@Yukari I’m with you, the iPhones started getting annoyingly large, and I’d been hanging onto my old 5c with the hopes for a smaller option.  I picked up the SE a couple months ago and it’s been nice.  I hope they continue to keep a smaller option around in the future, for fellas such as ourselves.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
