Day 1: 6/11/23

After a trip to Chicago and missing a day I completed Stack Neural training tonight. Finished with 112 e-speed under max intent. Slightly slower than my high speed.

Putted through 5 cm gates and only hit the post 3 times in over 50 putts gap from a foot, which is good for me on carpet.

Day 2: 6/12/23

Wright balance exercises followed by slow motion backswing drills to improve width.

Finished putting through 5 cm gates and was not as successful as last night. Hit at least a dozen gates with around 54 putts. May have lost count during a poor stretch.

Day 1: was at a point I was standing over the ball on the course with way too many swing thoughts. Put it away for a bit and back at it today. Worked on good set up. Mainly hips over ankles. Narrower stance. Moved the ball a touch back in stance. Hinge my wrists earlier and allow my body to react to that. Most of it is just set up. The wrist set/cock/hinge was because I felt as if I set late and could be all over the place in transition. Promising.

Day 11

Largely a repeat of yesterday on grip/backswing. Tried some very limited impact exercises, 3 balls about 1.5inch gap trying to make clean contact with center ball. Noticed even at slow and 50% backswing i'm catching toe side ball and heeling centre ball. Adjustments being made and better towards end of exercise but will need more repititon.

Day 3: Jun 13

Played 18 holes and plenty of positives to take out from it but some mental errors cost me. It’s completely clear to me now that my next performance leap is going to come from playing as much as possible - making the right decisions, making sure I’m aligned correctly and so on. The more golf scenarios I’m exposed to, the greater the chance that I recognise similar scenarios in the future and know what to do…and what not to do.

Granted there are course-specifics that come into this. But I have a fundamentally functional golf swing. What I need to learn now is how to play golf.

Day 51 - Range work mainly focusing on driver and partial 50 degree still, although I did spend some time with 4 and 5 iron today and hit them better than expected. Having a feeling of making a half swing with irons is helping with strike right now.

Driver is starting to get quite good on the range with these new feels, need to keep working on it and see how it fares on the course.

    • The term I hear most often is "double teeing" which means the course/club has starting times from both the #1 and #10 tee.  I have encountered this many times and we know if we are the first group off #10, we may well get to #1 and have to wait because there are groups still with tee times yet to tee of #1.  In most instances, where the course/club has a starter, he normally explains this situation.  In this case, the pro advised what you would could/would encounter making the turn to #1.  And, that is exactly what happened.  Probably would have been wise to talk to the pro after playing back 9 and ask when you could go off #1 since apparently that club does not double tee.   Regardless, the outburst towards the other group was uncalled for.  And, I don't blame the member for being upset.  As a member of a private club, you are responsible for the actions of your guest.  I have played many times as a guest in the UK and I am pretty damn sure my host was responsible for my actions while at the club.  I know at the clubs I have belonged to here in the US, that is the way it is.  As a matter of fact, the member may find himself being brought before management and facing possible suspension.  So, I don't blame him for being upset.  However, as the host, he really should have stepped up and put a stop to the OP's actions.  JMHO
    • Day 32: worked for about 10 minutes on my drill. Filmed it as well for a check in. I think it’s slightly better but still seeing some issues.
    • Day 44 (26 Dec 25)  -  played in the Friday men’s shootout with a twist - used the Toney Penna persimmons and MacGregor blades - had a blast playing these clubs.  They really help in zoning in on making solid ball contact.  Scoring was solid - had several looks at birdie and had a few par saves.  Overall a day of focused course management.
    • Day 2: 2025.12.27 Eighteen holes at Kauri Cliffs. Focusing on trying to keep flex in right leg during backswing.
    • Day 136 12-26 Had a different practice planned today but life happened. Worked on "wide to wide" and still working on remaining flowy. Starting the club head in front of the ball as a drill, is helping with the flow of the swing.
