Day 105: did some putting start line work with the cups drill. Also working on feeling like my head goes slightly forward in the putt’s downswing to help keep my head steadier.

Day 30 - 2024-10-30

Played nine holes today. Was apprehensive at first. I think I can swing it at a decent speed, I just have to do my two pieces well (and use my legs).

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

Day 31 - 2024-10-31

Hit 36 balls on the QM at Golf Evolution after a lesson I'd forgotten I had. 😄 I was headed down and he said "I'm here early." 😄

Day 183 (01 Nov 24) - Weekly Friday Men's scramble - shot a decent "for me" 85 (42 front, 43 back).   Strong play today was the wedge game.  Had 3 or 4 short pitches/chipos (less than 30yds) that literally "rattled the flag"  - oh so close but no cigar.  While they were not hole outs, they instilled confidence to know I can trust the wedges to put the ball close.  Beginning to see results from all the wedge drills in the back yard.

Day 107: busy day - just did a bit of mirror work watching TV. Checking backswing and having arms go down first on the downswing.

Day 33 - 2024-11-02

Testing out the wrist and thumb in the morning before the first Junior Elite of 2024-25. It went… meh.

Day 184 (02 Nov 24) - Made it an easy session with the 7i hitting into the net.  Worked on setup process and purposed tempo.  When done well - solid contact, and slight divot after the ball.  When not - thinned shots send vibrations up the shaft and fat ones send dirt a flying starting behind the ball.  Smooth tempo provided a solid strike that gave a resounding pow to the target flag as the ball hit it.

Day 108: quick range session. Hit some irons and some drivers. Just checking start line and shape. Then putted for about 15 minutes.

Day 185 (03 Nov 24) - More work with the irons, well just the 6i, hitting into the net focused on setup and tempo.  Really more about the latter rather than former.  Slowed tempo to more of short punch swing, contact much improved.

Ten minutes of work before Junior Elite this morning. Woke up "early" because of the time change.

Day 295 - Went to the driving range, my elbow is already feeling it. Fortunately, the session went well. Contact is much improved, the primary miss was hitting behind the ball. That’ll be my focus for the next couple of days, then Hawaii.

    • Day 35 - 2024-11-04 Hit balls with many breaks over the course of two hours. Wrist is feeling a little better, but ulnar deviation still twinges. I did the first two levels of Operation 36 and passed, duh. 25 and 50 yards. Would have been easier if putting was real. 😄
    • I can say I've seen some of the older gents at the club I play shoot in that range and from time to time a bit better.  Granted the super senior tees are only 4,400 yards and the course itself is just over 6,250 from the tips so its not a long course.  Also the greens are not super tricky so someone who can get close and some of those guys I play with can throw darts from 100 yards in for up and down pars.  Being short off the tee - say his par 4's are 300yds (160 off the tee, leaves 140 in - if he's like some I know, he can likely do driver off the deck with good accuracy, say for a nGIR 10yds out, he chips /putts consistently close and has kick in par).  For me, the operative phrase is "can play" - which says is capable but likely not carding it round after round.  Its like me saying I shoot in the upper 70's - one would presume that I am "saying" I am a solid single digit handicap, sub-80 player.  To which I am definitely not but I have ventured in the upper 70's several times over the past year - but that is not a consistent upper-70's.
    • Pasta Ala Ceppo with a Spicy Red Sauce Red Sauce - High quality tomato sauce, red pepper flakes (a lot), garlic, basil, olive oile
    • I play a 7000 yard course… that has tees at 4700.
    • Been told these are courses are all 6000+ so assuming most par 4s are 300+  and the par 5s are 500+. When I hear BS I have to call it out. This guy needs to be packing a game equal to or better than most guys in the bottom half of the 150-175 RTP stats to be shooting the scores I'm being asked to believe. Didn't use the keyword RTP when I was googling. Thanks @DaveP043 for that 🙂👍
