"5 Minutes Daily" Practice Challenge

Day 27 (29 Dec 25)an easy session working with the 8i, hard foam balls in the backyard - worked on initial takeaway, keeping arms extended, swing abbreviated to replicate green side pitches.

Day 10 - 2025-12-29

Mirror and net work for 15 minutes focusing on trail hip and leg movement / rotation based on @iacas feedback. Felt good - stuff I know and have been told before, but hasn't sunk in yet.

Got some work in after Skillest lessons and before regular in-person lessons. Backswing only. Stayed looking at the ball, right leg stuff.

Worked on flow feeling to top of backswing, pause, and a big focus on twisting the club in the downswing.

Arching lead wrist to close club face . Pause at top of backswing.

Day 28 (30 Dec 25) - 30 Dec - Short pitch drills in the backyard with the Gw - used it to work on setup process and making consistent contact.

Only time for some grip work in the garden, need to film it and see if I'm making progress.

While I have practiced a decent amount in the past 6-7 weeks, once I figured I wouldn't maintain the rules of the challenge I stopped posting 😞  Anyway, I'm back and I think I'll be able to maintain!  Let's see.

Day 1, 12/30/25.  10 balls with 6-iron, another 10 with a 9-iron, and a few chips with the UW and 54.  All off a mat, into a net, indoors, with real golf balls.  The will swing focus was on controlling the length of the backswing and doing so slowly.

More net / mat work, continued focus on trailing hip, leg, and hands. 10 minutes.

Backswing work in a mirror. Took it easy on the Skillest lessons today as I'll have a good amount of time tomorrow.

At least one more day of all backswing stuff.

Day 36: mirror work again. Checking that I’m turning enough in the backswing and then working on downswing feels.
