Day 89 (24 Sep 21) - Played 18 today.  Was a day where everything seemed a little off - from drives, to approaches to wedges.  One thing was majorly different, we were a little pressed for time to get there and I did not get opportunity to warm up some on the range.  Really think that was key to the "offness" I was sensing.  Repeatable steps in the routine does make a difference.

Driver practice (since I didn't use it on the course).  Absolutely amazed at the power 💥 I'm getting from my new stick...  Planned to be in the pit for 15 minutes... spent 30 'cause this driver is addictive. 😈

Day 57:

Played 18 this morning. A little too much technical thinking going on to play really well, but I am happy with new thought/feel to get me delivering the club to the ball better.

Day 91 (26 Sep 21) - While still at the beach, grabbed the old 9i and a couple of balls and spent about an hour in the never ending sand trap….well, it wasn’t that bad as the sand offered everything from powder (buried/fried egg) to packed (sitting pretty) to flat lies to below/above the feet lies.  Enjoy these sessions as they also give great feedback on the swing arc, especially the packed stuff.

Day 211.  Played 18 today, and really came to life in the second nine.  3 pars, bogey, 3 pars, closed out with two bogeys.   Shot a 39 for the second nine, something I'm not sure I've done at that course before (Hansen Dam).  I've had days where I hit a bunch of GIRs on that second nine, one day it was 7 GIR + 2 near, but I think I shot 40 or 41 on the second nine that day.

Day 92 (27 Sep 21) - worked extensively on pre-shot routine today - grip, shot flight, landing area, alignment (shoulders, hips, feet).  Even though I kept the shots to the backyard, the focus was on repeating the setup steps no matter the shot distance, to ingrain a good solid pre-shot routine.

    • Day 12: stole about 10 minutes in the garage, doing my drill with foam balls.
    • Day 116 12-6 Still working on getting to lead side. Tonight I also tried some skill work with clubface awareness.  Hit foam balls.
    • To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
