Day 157 - Proper practice session working on right arm priority piece.

Was able to "change the picture" pretty quickly and really like what it does to my swing.

Shorter, compact, and not nearly as steep while still hitting my normal yardages and with tighter lateral dispersion.

Day 47:

Continued work on backswing piece. Recently been trying to add a new feel/thought for a fast-slow-fast tempo and combine with my cupped wrist/early hinge backswing feel, but I was getting clubhead and hands way inside resulting in weird ball flight. Went back to just the priority piece backswing thing, and sort of normalized, so going to stick with just one thing.

Also did Fit for Golf workout.

Day 159 - Played 18 holes. Driver was solid. Pins were in tough spots. Irons were solid overall.

Day 96: did a stack session and mirror work. Worked on checking posture and my initial downswing feels. Heading to the range tomorrow to see how it looks.

Practiced a bit after playing around with the SkyTrak+ for awhile. Not a ton of new stuff, but it mostly read things pretty well from what I could tell.

Day 97: Range session during lunch. Worked on my downswing drill and feels for the full swing. Drill looks good, but will need some work to get the swing looking like that.

Day 1 (13 Oct 23) - Starting the restart again…missed posting the past couple of days.  Today played 18 at RiverBend, using the older clubs (MacGregor Mike Souchak irons, Toney Penna 1, 3,4,5 woods).  Had one guy tell me I was brave for playing them.  First time out with the Penna’s, they were a thrift shop find that included a stand bag from my high school - all for $15.  In reality - kept the woods in the short grass most of the day.  Fun round hitting vintage stuff…

Day 2 (14 Oct 23) - Worked on takeaway and downswing using an alignment rod at 45deg on plane behind me.  Focus on taking away wiith club in front of the rod and coming behind it n the downswing.   Kept swing speed to an easy pitch pace as I worked thru drill.

      Day 19 - 2026-01-08 10 minutes of net work. Feeling very good about changes but need to film soon. Next few days will be indoor mirror work as we head into the mountains.

      New Maxfli Forged Irons - $800!

      I would like to amend my original comment on the new Maxfli irons. Yes, $800 for forged irons is a pretty good price and they do feel good BUT...I have since found out that $800 is only for off the shelf, standard issue clubs with standard lengths, lofts, lies and shafts. Any change made from stock results in huge up-charges so that the final price ends up pretty much the same as similar forged irons from any of the major manufacturers.

      PGA Tour 6 Rule Changes for 2026

      These were almost all included on the list of Clarifications or revised Model Local Rules released just a few days ago.  I'm pretty sure the first 3 are brand new MLRs (Moved/Wrong Place, Embedded Ball in someone else's pitch mark, Internal OB applies only to tee shot) that the PGA Tour is choosing to use.  The 16.1 Rule (relief near a Putting Green) was revised allowed a Committee to give relief for more than just Immoveable Obstructions, microphone holes would be classed as GUR (a hole made by the maintenance staff).  The replacement club rule was available before, the E-3 (Lift Clean and Place distance) could have been defined as "one scorecard" before, they're just a change in how the PGA choices.
