I would just like to make everybody aware of a training program that I have been using that is working wonders for my golf game. The program mainly focuses on teaching golfers how to swing a golf club in a synchronized way with the body through training. Once the training and movements are implemented properly I was amazed at how well I can now hit the golf ball with speed, safety and strength. It is a way out of thinking about swing mechanics on the golf course. I can say that my mis-hits are now in play and am not even worried if I don't connect with the golf ball as well as I think I should have.

The program is explained very well and my scores have improved dramatically coming down from a 16 handicap to a 10 since the start of the year.

There are not many reviews of the program as it is relatively new, but the first I found on google is on the following link. https://basicgolfer.com/tathata-golf-review-60-day-training-program

I just want to make golfers aware that this program is around as it really works if you apply the training.

Cheers

The goals that you posted in the 2018 Golf Goals thread were to play more than once a month and be a more consistent putter.

So you are saying that with Tathata Golf, you dropped 6 strokes off of your handicap in 2 months so far in 2018 when in 2017 you were only playing once a month?

It’s not impossible. It’s not like he said he went from a 10 to a 4 playing once a month?

I purchased the Program about six weeks ago after reading some reviews and am up to day 42. Three rounds of golf with a score in the mid 70s will certainly drop your handicap off a 16. I have been off a lower handicap than that before, but have blown out because I don't play golf much and got sick of all the inconsistencies in coaching. I have so far reached my first goal of playing more golf this year (played 6 rounds in February) but am still struggling with my putting. I think the program does a section on putting soon which I am looking forward to.

Just thought id share it with some other golfers as it has helped me understand the golf swing and implement some of the movements needed to hit the ball consistently.. The program is actually also backed by Jack Nicklaus himself.

It might not be for everybody, but if you are looking at getting better then id say it's worth a try. The mental training is also a bit questionable, but you don't really need it to experience some sort of success from the program.

This seems like a followup to this thread:

It sounds like you could be just shaking the cobwebs off and getting back to a level of golf you used to play at. You’ve been at a lower handicap before, as you just now wrote.

In any case, we typically like to discuss specifics here on the site. Like what your issues were, what the instruction was exactly, and how you practiced to overcome it.

Frankly, pushing a specific product with a vague sense of your recent improvement isn’t much to discuss. Also lends to suspicions of you pushing an agenda to promote something.

If you want to tell us about the specifics of what you’ve learned and implemented, great. If you want to recommend a commercial product without any of that, not sure you’ll find a welcoming place here for that discussion. Just not the kind of site here where that fits in.

For what it’s worth, I cracked up that I’d come across as sanctimonious.  I can sorta kinda see it, and I was definitely long-winded.

My intent was to matter-of-factly encourage actual discussion of improvement from a new poster, not linking out to a product. Let’s hear about the original weakness. The cure. The results. We have lots of lurkers too who might see that and get a sense of a better topic, when they decide to wade in.

There was no attitude I was trying to impart- just a friendly steering toward what, in the future, might be a better-received topic.

You don't need to defend yourself @RandallT. The only asshole here is @uitar9.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
