And for a good reason. Excellent change.

What if there are 4 players on a par3 and players 1 and 2 have already played their shots and player 1 asks player 2 what club did he use and he responds. If players 3 and 4 hear his response is that a breach and if so, by whom?

No breach unless player 3 'intended to influence' player 3 or 4

That is how I see it as well.

Given the wide disparity in lofts from old generation clubs to new clubs, players clubs to players distance clubs to super game improvement etc, Then factoring in how purely it was struck with what club speed.... what someone else hit means not a damn thing.

I'd say sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. But the Rule must apply to both cases.

Whether its valuable knowledge or not, asking about another player's club before you play appears intended to influence your own choice of club.  Sharing that information after you've both played the shot can't influence either of your choices for the current shot, unless one of you is playing stroke and distance.

If it's that important just go over and look in your opponent's bag to see what club is missing.  Pretty sure that is legal, but I defer to the rules experts on here.

Yes, that is one way and it is allowed if done without touching anything in the other player's bag.

    • Day 126: another busy day, so just did some mirror work. Checking set up and backswing and working on a few downswing feels.
    • Day 310 - Working on my follow-through. Higher chest, belt towards the target. Small swings at first, building to a fuller swing (still not thrilled with my short backswing).
    • Day 201 (19 Nov 24) - Walked the back nine at Minnesott today, played the “white” tees with the persimmon woods and bladed irons.  It’s a challenge I really like as the clubs are shorter in overall distances.  It really forces me focus on the value of the approach game.     Somehow yesterday’s post did not load / so it’s above.  Today (Day 202) I did some backyard short yardage work - 7i dink  and rolls, 9i chips and 50deg pitches - working to get it in before the rain started around noon.
