As an 8 cap....a good day is high 70's....in the past 44 years....my daily golf target is to shoot 79 or better.....I hate shooting 80 or 81....especially if I choked on the last few holes. I also play tees long enough to challenge me so that I also use the majority of clubs in my bag....I don't get much joy if I'm playing shorter tees just to be able to post a lower score.

The rough looks NASTY...I hope the winning score is +3 or +5....and we get to see all the pros and Am's suffering and crying like babies. Could we see a few 3 minute limit penalties for a lost ball in the rough? I can confidently say as an 8 cap....100+ for me...heck 110+ wouldn't be far off neither.😰

Many, many pros/Am's took advantage of the CLOWN wall and the grandstand in prior years over the 4 rounds played at the ANA...especially when they play the 18th hole shorter in rd 2 and rd 4 each year. I like Justin Thomas....but what an IDIOT statement of his in the above article.,,,Hello McFly....Nelly and only Nelly was to blame for not winning....if she would have put her drive into the fairway on her 72nd hole and in the playoff....then she also could have utilized the wall as a backstop if required for her 2nd shot Nelly is long and if she smoked a drive into the 18th fairway....she might have been able to hit a 4 iron fade towards that pin like Lexi did and hold the green...heck even short hitting Lydia was able to hit a FW or hybrid into 18 on Sunday and hold the green for a 20 ft down hill eagle putt. Nelly also didn't execute twice on her 100 yard 3rd shot on her 72nd hole and in the playoff....1st fanning a shot that ended up off the green and then leaving her 2nd attempt in the playoff 20 ft short....nuff said. Nelly has also fluttered in the past trying to close out an event...(many many pros too...golf is TOUGH)...but she's young with many opportunities....)barring injury or desire)....to win a lot in the future...and yes...I believe she'll have a superior golf career vs, Jessica. Brooke also didn't execute in the playoff...3 poor shots/putts in a row....chunked her hybrid short of the green, not a great 3rd stroke with the putter leaving a 5-6 putt that was a decel and missed on the low side....nuff said.

My chipping s*cks....I'd rather be in a green side bunker anytime...especially if a lot of skins are on the line.....I'm confident out of those bunkers....but because of lousy ball striking....my fairway bunker play is a weakness.

The ANA is a joke. Pre-Covid in the past several years...no one really attends on Thurs/Fri...and average galleries on the weekend. Pre-Covid (grandstands...with barely anyone filling the seats on Thurs/Fri) and this year a wall on 18...both acting as a backstop....it would be like a grandstand or a wall built behind the 15th green at Augusta. Whan/LPGA had problems finding a sponsor when Kraft Nabisco didn't renew their sponsorship...until ANA showed up.....ANA should have told Whan it's moving the event to Japan....just like the 5th major (LMAO)...the Evian...stuck a gun to Whan's head and got major status.....another LMAO. Nelly hit 2 poor gap wedge shots into 18...and I knew Brooke would miss her birdie low and left on the playoff..her nerves caught up with her...she had a few decel & stabby short putt misses coming home. I had a feeling Mirim would make her birdie....congrats to Mirim..... with 2 late 'lucky' chip in's...timing is everything.

Ya...sometimes i shoot 38 when I play miniature golf with my grandsons.😆 i'm talking about playing golf on a REAL "championship" length course with a REAL course rating & slope. I'm sorry....for someone who says they can struggle to break 100 and then shoots even par when they are 'relaxed; has me wondering and shaking my head....others may disagree.

There are a ton of vanity cappers......it always hilarious listening to their fables of their great scoring...it's so hilarious. I like vanity cappers.....like shooting fish in a barrel to win money. It's the cheatin baggers I hate.

I think you putted like a fool that day because you likely were trying to impress your co-workers. Most other people don't care what you shoot nor especially care what kind of putter you are. Just relax and have fun. IMO...the only time that you might be nervous is playing in a tournament or gambling....the higher the stakes... the more nervous you might be....especially if you're afraid of losing.

You must be a unicorn...I've played golf golf for 52 years and have yet to play golf with or see a 60 something female golfer who has the skills to carry a 6 iron 175 yards with a good driver SS of 94-95 mph with a 19 handicap.

So what model hybrids and FW did you settle on?

Golf is tough....I've gone from 13, 2, 5 and back to 12 GIR's in my last rds...and some GIR's in all rds missed from inside 110-125 yards...DUH...though all rds on different courses...but I'm a mental midget which explains everything and not a real golfer like you.

Hi Ace It's all the self absorbed and entitled Millenials that are partying and spreading Covid....IDIOTS. Glad you quit that stupid club....you know it's a lousy club when members wouldn't ask or play golf with a 5.5 cap women....if you played here.....guys would line up to ask to play golf with you...me included....likely not the women...likely would be intimidated by you. Played yesterday with 2 CRAZY but fun Korean ladies...they were/are lousy golfers and I was hit twice yesterday with their 2 hosel rockets. 😄

Hi Ace WTF....another incident at the old club...what a GONG show and now another 14 day quarantine....blah. Glad to hear you;re playing well....my last 2 rds were GARBAGE...I hate golf....ok....going to play twilight with a friend today. Take care and be well......all the Pink Shirt Millennials are causing our Covid cases to spike...we had a record number of 124 new cases on Friday and got as low as 8/day a few months ago....but serious cases remain low.....23 in hospital and 7 in ICU and death rate many days at zero but a 203 total deaths.....I wear a mask when shopping.

I'm sure there a ton of guys playing a mixed bag of clubs....if it works..it works.....heck a one point I think I had 7 different brand/models of grips on my 13 clubs.....putter the 14th cub.
