The course seems to be always busy on weekend.   Downstairs stalls are typically full.  Range balls are in pretty bad shape.    It's not an easy course to play if you play from the tip.

Played that course twice about 12-13 yrs ago. Long wait to get on, slow play. And imho the course was nothing special. Then again, maybe they fixed all that..???

Great article; but I'm a little bias: I love Rancho Park. The course isn't in the greatest shape all the time, but that's fine -- makes my summer golf vacations all the more luxurious. I've played there in as little as 3:15 and I'm sure I've also had a round of over 6 hours there. One of these days, I'll par hole #11 (the only one I've yet to par -- my best ball score at the course is 59 just the same). rkim -- hopefully the remodel of the driving range (it's been a long time coming!) will also include some fresh range balls, although I understand why they re-use so many that find their way there from the 9th and 18th. I wonder if the remodel will play into that. I know several golfers have asked them to get wood chips for the parts of the course that line the range, although who knows if that will happen (or if it's even a practical suggestion).
