I would be especially upset if she had achieved girlfriend status without my knowing she had a kid. Break-up worthy, even, because she would have had to keep such a thing from me deliberately.

Any of the other options implies that she's slept with a LOT of people in the past and there's no way to imply that her habits have changed. If so then she's liable to go sleeping around with other people even if I'm in a relationship with them.

Having a child does not mean she has slept with a lot of partners in the past. Could mean she had a one night stand -- I chose child for that very reason.

Fat businessmen is bad because she has no dignity, rock stars and musicians is bad because that means she is shallow and easy. Then there's heroin and all the crap that comes with it. No matter how far back it is there's always the possibility of a relapse. Don't forget about all the scum that got her the drugs and the possibility they are still around.

the reason i posted this poll is b/c the girl i've been seeing recently is a few years older than i am and we were talking about past relationships the other night and several famous actor names came out and it really upset me. however, i realize that she's a beautiful model and yes, of course she's had those kind of relationships but, it's still hard to stomach.

i've started comparing myself to these people and it's really an awful thing to do and an awful place for me to put myself in. I just need to realize that it was in the past and i am the present...it's tough.

I chose the actor or musician one because it was not a bunch of them although if the musician were the kind that kept a lot of groupies that would make this one a lot worse. In addition, I would have to be pretty good looking to get a girl that was with an actor or musician and that is a nice confidence booster.

Hmmmm. this is difficult. I've been fat and I've been in business. I've been a professional musician. I have children, two by previous marriage. I've never tried heroin and never would because I hate needles.
Heroin screws up lives so totally that anyone who truly gets away from it has achieved something fantasic. Heck, I can't even give up smoking. So an ex-addict is worthy of respect and admiration.
One has to accept people for what they are, not load them up with the baggage of what they may have been. Having said that, of course things they have done in the past have contributed to the person they are now - the good things, the things they regret, everything. If you like the girl as she is now, then value what she has become out of all her experiences, good and bad.

Excuse me for saying so, but the fact that you are worried about such, in my opinion, trivial matters doesn't bode well for the relationship. Worry about whether you enjoy each others company, whether you like to do similar things, whether you want the same things out of life. Whether you think she is a good person...

      after some years experimenting around, I've settled on a mixed bag of mostly Pat Simmons vintage Tiger Sharks (the ones with the blue enamal on back of the clubheads): 3 thru 9 iron, + 3 wedges (PW, sand, chipper). Those super heavy clubheads really help me get my swing down and thru the ball. Also I carry an old Taylor 18-degree rescue club, 17-degree and 14 degree ImagineGolf metalwoods, and the famous Pat Simmons "alien" 1-iron. Finally a real brick-on-a-stick, the big-headed Bettinardi Ben Hogan model putter which is excellent for taking the break out of short putts and getting the ball hole high on long ones. Wait....is that 15 clubs? Oh well....

      this topic brought to mind one my favorite golf-spectator memories. Back when, living in Santa Barbara CA, parked in my yellow cab just behind the 10th tee  (c. 380 yard par 4) at SB Muni golf course while eating lunch. A twosome comes by, and first up is this fat little mexican guy who takes a kinda squirelly practice swing, then addresses the ball and bashes a long, high, perfectly straight drive up to w/in about 5 yards of the green. Other guy is dressed to the 9's, pulls out what looks like a $300 driver....and hits a maybe 150-yard pop fly. Slams clubhead to the ground and yells, "it's fat! It's fat! Everything is fat today!!"  And that's how I learned what a "fat" shot is.
