I heard this shortly after he did this skit...I love this and never laughed so hard in my life when I heard it.

Classic stuff. I think it is up there with some of the one-liners from Caddyshack.

Fairways and Greens.

I heard that bit once before and I almost choked to death. Definitely one of the best ever descriptions of our great game. Robin Williams is one of the greatest comic minds of our generation, if not of all time.

The whole HBO special was hilarious. Watch the other parts if you get a chance. He made some other funny jokes about Tiger when he did a show in England. Hope he makes a full recovery. We need a funny guy in these times.

i actually referenced (in a roundabout way) this skit just a couple of days ago. i'm living with a couple of bachelors, and someone managed to clog up the toilet. well... i was plugging away at it, hoping to god we could fix it ourselves and not have to call a plumber, and i was really getting furious with it when suddenly *blooop* the toilet gives me one bubble. so i launch into it all over again for like 30 minutes to no avail, and i went into the living room and, without even meaning to, launched into a scottish accent yelling AND THEN IT GIVES ME ONE BUBBLE, JUST TO GIVE ME F'N HOPE!

robin williams is awesome. he was scheduled to perform here, but canceled/postponed due to his surgery or whatever it is he's having to undergo right now.

Agree 100%. I saw that clip a few years ago and bought the DVD. It is called

Robin Williams - Live on Broadway .

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

      Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
