Not sure if there is a post for this already so here goes. Do you match companies in your bag? I match my irons and wedges, and did match my driver and hybrid. I have since gotten rid of my hybrid and decided to put an old 3 wood in and purchase a new 5 wood to my bag. The fairway woods match but not to the driver. Just curious I love the feedback from this site so I ask a lot of questions via new forum posts sorry if they have been asked and answered already.

Both my wedges plus 3W are Titleist. Both my hybrids plus Driver are Nickent. That's the extent of the matching in my Nike bag.

I get a sort of chuckle out of the fellas I see with matching bag, clubs, hat, shirt, belt, etc. I may just be jealous though.

Nope.  I play lots of different stuff.  I loved my G5 wood so bought the g5 5 and 7 wood this year since I knew I liked the 3 wood.  If anything, I'd like to have the same shafts in my woods but I don't.  They perform similarly so they are fine for me.  I'm really happy with my bag right now.

I don't match companies, I match country of origin......lol See sig ..... But I am on a quest to change that and buy a USA putter.

When a company makes a club in the USA I will proudly display their brand here. All of mine were made in china by somebody making $2 a day. Shame on you Mr club manufacture.

No problem Taylor. Question did you buy all of your clubs at once or over some time? Did you buy other brands and decided to get rid of them for TM because of performance?

I haven't matched for brands.  After getting the 3H, liked it so much I went to get a matching 4H.  When looking for the 4W, I couldn't find any other brands at a reasonable price point (and the other ones I knew about, I couldn't find), but liked the one I had.  For the driver, I tried several, but came back to Nike.  Similar with the wedges.

The irons are the oldest of the current clubs in the bag.  I went to so many demo days and tried to find ones I wanted, and eventually found the ones I like the best.  The only set of irons I've felt feel better since then are the Nike VR Blades, which I've sometimes contemplated.  But it's not with the goal of matching clubs.

And the putter matches nothing else in the bag, nor does the ball (although I will be trying Srixon and Nike's competition to the RX at some point in the Spring).

I've had the Irons for a while, just got the driver used last weekend and the 60* was bought a few weeks ago everything else I bought at the same time this spring. It's all pretty new. I have used many other brands (both tried and owned) and I always preferred the Taylormade ones the best, so when it came time to get new sticks I skipped the BS and went TM everything.

My driver was the first "real" branded club I ever bough probably 7 years ago.  I picked up the 3 wood a few years later because it matched and bought the matching 5 wood a few months ago used in mint condition.  I always fooled around with off branded irons and built a few sets of my own over the years.  A few months ago I sold all my old irons and putters and bought my Titleist irons and wedges and hybrid.  I'll upgrade my driver soon and will probably go with Titleist just because I do like the matching factor.  Not to be a "brand ho" or anything but I like symmetry and organization and it just makes sense....

Yup it's been discussed, like many of the other questions you have started a thread on. You should check out some of the older threads, a lot of good reads in some of them. Will teach you a lot about the game/swing/equipment.

Not loyal to any brands, I just go with what feels right and performs on the course. For that very reason, I have a whole bunch of golf shit. It takes a while to figure out what you like and what fits you. I'm currently on my fourth set of irons, none of which have been the same brand, multiple drivers, fairways, hybrids, etc. I don't believe people should limit their purchases to certain brands simply for the match factor. Function over fashion any day of the week.

I use to want everything to match but I've definitely gotten over that.  Really all I care about now is that my equipment works for me...  The only things that have to match for me is that all my wedges have to be the same as each other.  I use the Callaway X-Forged wedges and when its time for one of them to be replaced it'll either be with another X-Forged or since I probably won't be able to find one I'll replace all three wedges.  Kind of the same thing with the hybrids; both are Hogan CFTs, I wouldn't want one Adams and one Hogan (or whatever brands) simply because I like the consistency.  If for whatever reason two different brands felt the same as one another than that would be ok with me, but that is unlikely to happen.  But as far as having a bag filled with a single companies equipment, I don't really care... if it works out that way then cool, if not then that is just fine to.

Matching is relative. I've seen some guys' setups and everything has a consistent look - similar shafts, heads, a colour scheme, whatever. It just looks unified - doesn't even have to be the same manufacturer. Some Nike stuff matches well with Bridgestone, Mizuno, Titleist, whatever.

I've also seen some guys with a single OEM bag (including the bag and all the accessories) and it's a godawful mismash of random colours and styles that looks like a pile of garbage.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

I match everything... all the clubs are Cobra as well as the their bag, towel, head covers, etc. Everything is yellow and black in color too right down to the DD2 grips and ClicGear cart.

This probably sounds like an anal thing to do but, the equipment does "stick out" on the course and seeing that I normally play at one course just about everyone that works and plays there knows my equipment. So, if I do lose / forget something I'll probably get it back. It happened when I dropped a 3 wood head cover.

In my Bag Boy XLT-15 bag:
Cobra 10.5* Speed Pro S driver
Cobra 15* Speed Pro 3W
Cobra 20* Baffler Pro
Cobra UFI 4-PW,GW,SW,LW Graphite Cobra Melbourne II putter Ball = Pinnacle: FX Long Gold Cart = ClicGear 2.0 in yellow

No matching here, just what is working best for me.

Although my wedges were all MDGolf, I now replaced the 56° with a Vokey.

Heck, I even got me some MP33 off the bay, which will arrive next week (hopefully). This way I will setup my bag with 3-6 iron of KZG Cavitybacks, 7-P MP33 (if they work), MD wedges, Wilson Putter (8882), Mizuno MP Fli-Hi II 18° Hybrid, Mizuno MX-500 driver and Mizuno MX-700 3-wood.

Oh, and the bag is a SunMountain :)

greetings
