May have something to do with the 2:30am tv time. The "Wake Up with the Cup" ads haven't moved me to set the clock much.

The Tour Championship is the only event airing on network television. In the comparing ratings battle, it's already won.

Just to clarify, Frys is in 2 weeks - only the Solheim and the championship are this weekend.

FWIW, I can say with a good amount of confidence that the Frys.com is first on my priority list, the Tour Championship is second, and the Solheim is third. I will watch the Frys.com and the Tour Championship, but there about a 10% catch I tune into the Solheim. It will be interesting to see how the Frys.com's ratings play out.

Yeah, Big Break has the same issue. (I wonder what season it was filmed, and if the producers expected it to be warmer...)

I watched way more of the Solheim Cup than the Tour Championship. It was more compelling and I think there are may attractive women on the LPGA tour these days.

Personally I didn't watch a shot of the Tour Championship and I didn't miss a Shot of the Solheim Cup. The Golf was far more Compelling from the Ladies in this little Ratings Show Down. For those of you who don't know this already the Fedex Cup Playoffs Bombed in TV Ratings. The Total TV Ratings for the Final Rounds of all For Fedex Cup Playoff Tournaments, the Barclays, the Duetsche Bank, the BMW and the Tour Championship earned an average of 1.2 Overnight TV Ratings. That is Pathetic for over $50 Million Dollars in Purses shelled out for these events. The Final Round of the BMW didn't even register a 1 in TV Ratings. It was a Pathetic .09 on Sunday. The Mega Confetti Money Tour Championship Finally scored a dismal 1.4 in TV Ratings. The Little League World Series Playoffs stomped these types of ratings. Golf needs to figure out what they are doing wrong because these guys are just Boring... Or maybe it's the commentators who are boring. Something has to change or Money will Disappear from Sponsors.

That's the key isn't it? The money? People are turning away from the LPGA in droves, but they're playing for relatively small purses and it's probably cheap to buy the rights.

And the Frys.com? Other than watching one guy try and find his game before the President's Trophy, who really honestly cares about this event?

My 2 cents

They need to use more protracer and focus less on guys taking 5 minutes on a 4ft putt.  I love watching guys hitting driver, irons and wedges but I don't need to watch a guy reading the green.  This is what kills golf on tv for me.  On majors I can understand it but during the John Deere I change the channel when people are putting.

I don't mind them showing shots around the green if 1.) there's an element of danger (like Augusta or on a link course) and if they keep the player and the cup in the shot while the ball is in motion, 2.) if they have a camera at ground level to appreciate what the player sees.

Basically if I want to see a zoomed in overhead shot of a white ball rolling across a green carpet for 2 hours, I'll go to the pub and shoot a few game of pool.
