Where are the Vs suppose to point to?

Vs pointing to the right armpit doesnt work for me, seems like I just hack at the ball.

Feels better when the Vs point at their respective shoulders, but then it feels like my arms work independent of each other.

I like to have my hand more passive anyway but for wedge shots and closer to the green, my hands seem to get tighter and like to form a V between my thumb and forefinger

Any thoughts about V's?

I dont believe the V's have to match.

I think my right hand Vs are "swing wreckers". Hogan mentions this , I had success just leaving releasing the tension where my right  thumb and forefingers meet before i swing.

I have always read/heard that the Vs should point "some where" towards the right shoulder for the right handed golfer. No specific point is usually given as there are so many different grips being used. In my grip, my Vs point to an area inside my right shoulder/arm pit. Maybe mid " clavicle" bone.  Now there is a putting grip where the Vs point towards their respective shoulder, but as posted above, with all other clubs the Vs should follow each other. The hands can't work together unless the Vs compliment each other.

Hogan's Five Fundamentals, he writes left hand V points to right eye and right hand V points at the chin.

Which means that his hands likely opposes each other and not match.

However he also states that right thumb and index fingers are "swing wreckers" so he likely release pressure on those muscles when swinging, so that right hand V didnt make a difference.

and really was relying on the left hand V pointed to the right eye.

Hogan likely was left handed and right eye dominant.

The difference in width between the right eye, and the chin is about about the same difference in width as my Vs pointing to my right clavicle. Both are pointed in the same general direction. As for Hogan's dominate hand, I know he signed autographs with his right hand. I actually got his autograph in 1975.

Both V's point at my right shoulder (righty). I find that by having my hands in that position, If I make a good swing, the ball goes where I want it to. Also keep in mind that the grip is placed in the fingers, and that may feel a tad weird at first, but in my case it makes for better contact and ball flight, i.e. straight, fade, draw, ect. I'm also getting a higher ball flight in my irons.

just to inconsistent with the FW and driver....argh!

just an update..... I felt comfortable with my left hand V pointing anywhere from my left shoulder /armpit / sternum

My right hand V I like to point to left eye.....which I guess will give me a weak looking grip
