I once bought a driver that Brandt Snedeker used on the driving range.  It had a hot melt added to the head and I just couldn't make it work for me.  Re-sold it on eBay for more than I paid for it!  I think the Snedeker connection helped.  But the purchaser also got a driver with my DNA on it, for what that's worth.

I wouldn’t call it worse, but definitely not a smart purchase. I recently bought a My Girl putter that I have been eyeing for 2 years. I absolutely love it but it is too pretty to use so it just sits on the shelf.

Forever inspired by his wife and daughters, Scotty Cameron introduces the 17th edition of his My Girl putter, a freshly styled Select Fastback crafted with high fashion and fun in mind.
Just put two headcovers on that thing and use it!  On the other hand, I don't drive my car because I hate door dings.

Mine was from a few years back. Found a brand new one still in plastic so I jumped on it.

I actually tried it out at home and that  flower gave me double vision...

Mine was a TM M1 2017 model. For some reason I just could not hit in the fairway. I have a PING G 25 that is pretty old and it is a fairway finder. Bought the M1 in hopes of a little more distance. I believe it was the worst driver I have even bought. Must have been me and not the driver. I've dated a few women in my life and only married one of them. So I guess I already have that special one in my bag.

I could not hit the M1 or the M2 straight either, luckily I was on a launch monitor so I didn't buy either. I went with a Cobra Max, (because I fight a strong fade) and like it. However, most times I hit my 3W off the tee unless I have a lot of room on the right. I can hit it almost as far as the driver and 80%+ of the time I am on the fairway. I love the 3W, it is my go to club.

I'd played around with an Odyssey Tank Cruiser putter at a demo day a few years ago and liked it but wasn't really in the market for a putter then. Got the itch last spring and remembered the Odyssey and found a nearly new one for a great price on eBay, so I pulled the trigger as soon as I saw the listing. But like the dope I am I had failed to notice that the darn thing was a LH model. The guy had a 'no return' policy and I could have probably pushed for one. But I figured I just take the hit and chalk it up to a lesson learned.

My son uses it. I told him it was an early birthday gift. πŸ™„

My old but trusty bag is filled with clubs I built...Integra SoooLong 450 10.5Β°, Jackaroo II 13* 16* 23*  hybrids, Dynacraft irons and wedges...plus a sweet Tad Moore Peach putter.

Over the years I've bought a lot of drivers, or a hoard of the same driver with different shafts on eBay,  I have come close to buying lefty drivers many times but have lucked out and took notice at the last second.  On eBay the saying goes. "If it's too good to be true it's probably a left-handed driver."  Those drivers are consistently priced lower.

    • I'll try to post a bit more here as the season moves on.  Yesterday was my first "referee gig" this year, the first of a two-day event for juniors.  No real unusual rulings, but a couple of slightly complicated situations with two consecutive drops.  There's a hole with a Red Penalty Area down the right, with a cart path running parallel.  On a couple of occasions a player had to take Penalty Area relief.  Two clublengths from the point of entry required dropping no further left than the center of the cart path.   Once that relief procedure was completed, he took relief from the cart path.  Due to the relatively small distance between the path and the PA, the Nearest Point of Complete Relief was to the "fairway side" of the path.  I made the Player consider a drop to the PA side, with the player's feet clear of the path (i.e. complete relief from interference), but that would have put the drop in the Penalty Area, which isn't acceptable. Something which I now see as common, this 36-hole event is defined as four 9-hole stipulated rounds.  This is done so that, if bad weather sets in, there can be legitimate results if everyone has completed at least 9 holes.
