I've never seen anything like this. Elevated platform with elevated tee. Interesting idea. From his post:

It seems like all the things listed aren’t really benefits. I mean there shouldn’t be fear in hitting the ground, especially with an iron. Floating the golf ball almost reinforces that fear by not allowing the person to get used to the feel of the club going through the turf and how to correct for it accordingly.

Very interesting concept. I like the idea of not resting the club on the ground.

I can just take the mat out of my setups and use a tee.

I am more in line with this than those things being benefits.

Golfers have to learn to hit the ground. It's there. They don't play golf on an 8" tall tee.

This is a terrible idea.  Hit down on the ball and through the ground!

When I first picked up the game again 12 years ago, I used to go to an old field and practice taking divots. I’d scratch a line in the grass and try to have the divot in front of the line. This helped a lot.
