There is a very nice Indoor Golf Facility not too far from where I live. My game NEEDS a lot of work right now. That's especially true for my full swing. I have the funds to get a limited membership allowing me Trackman or GCQuad time. One would think that's a no brainer. Work on your game all winter at the indoor golf place, right?

What do you all think?
Is that a safe choice during this COVID thing?
The county in which my wife works just went to purple. That's the highest rating our state has. It's the first county in the state to do so. My wife works remote and has been doing so since March. But it's got me thinking; Am I being responsible by going and working on my golf game INDOORS an hour or two per week just to get time on the Trackman?

Or is that not a smart choice?

I'm curious to hear others opinions.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I think it depends on how many people are there, the precautions the indoor sim is taking, etc. If it's just one or two simulators, and only one person per simulator, that seems okay to me. If there are 10 simulators and 4 people per simulator, that's different.

I agree with @DeadMan. Go check it out and see what their protocols are and how open the space is.

I'm not sure what purple represents on the scale but my "opinion" is that I personally wouldn't do it, at this time. I've been doing monitored cardio rehab at the local hospital for the last couple of months but have just put my sessions on hold for now due to the very high number of cases recently in the county we live in. All indoor activities away from home are a no go for us until things get better. Of course, we're old and at definite risk - your case may be and probably is different.

A local golf course put in 3 simulators recently.   I bought a winter membership to use them.   Since the latest "shelter in place" order in Michigan they are limiting use to 10 people total for the 3 simulators.   There is no food or beverages.    Yesterday I reserved one for two hours (thought about @Vinsk for about 20 minutes) and wore a mask the entire time.   It's not ideal but it beats sitting at home watching TV.

    • Day 58: night putting session for about an hour. Started with lag putting and ended with putts inside 9’. I need to work on putts from 6-12’, but in a solid spot overall.
    • Birdied a different #6 today (incidentally, also a par-5, but not the same one on which I previously birdied).  Here's the funny thing though:  it's the par-5 that caused me to post my "how do I avoid bogeys?" on par-5s recently.  So I guess I still haven't parred that hole.
    • Day 20, May 24.  Played 18 today, very poor ball driving.  One GIR, and it was a 4-wood from the rough.  Several other instances of hitting a green on a full swing (and at least one full swing motion -- a 50% UW) that wasn't for GIR.   Still shot an 87 and even had a birdie (chip-in).
    • Welcome to TST.  I spent a bit of time in the UK but I had to look up Wagon Wheels.  Don't think I ever saw them.  Had to Google to see.  Couple similar items in US but Google says they are different. 😁
    • Day 264 5-24 Worked on getting chest through and arms down infront of chest. Contact isn't great yet but on video looking better.
