Hi all, I moved to NE FL 4 years ago from SE Michigan, I couldn't stand the long cold winters any more. I retired 3 years back after 43 years as a field service engineer. I started playing golf twice a week with a group of guys from my neighborhood. My game was horrid at first, my last lessons were in 1976 and I never played more than a few times per season due to work commitments and other interests. As a result in my search for information I began lurking on TST.

I have found TST to be a great resource in all things golf especially LSW.  Most aspects of my game have improved to the point I am playing almost as well as most of my partners, which isn't saying much as we all score in the upper 90's, but we have fun. Glad to be here.

Driver:  Titleist 915D2.  4-wood:  Titleist 917F2.  Titleist TS2 19 degree hybrid.  Another hybrid in here too.  Irons 5-U, Ping G400.  Wedges negotiable (currently 54 degree Cleveland, 58 degree Titleist) Edel putter.

Welcome to TST.  Having fun is what Golf is about to me, glad you are enjoying it regardless of the score....Of course we all enjoy it more when we go low. 

I'm in your old neck of the woods, SE Michigan, and I agree that our shortened golf season sucks.  Typically Mid October to Mid March offer scarce opportunities to golf.  In the past I have had an occasional round in November and February but those are the exception.

Welcome @BeachBum! Ahh…so nice to see a Northerner has come to his senses and abandoned the icy, cruel, depressing and gray world of the North. Welcome to no more snow shoveling or face cracking wind and be gone with those 3-4 month golf seasons. And of course,  welcome to TST!

I have to admit it took way too long to be able to pull off this move. I do like to watch the weather in the winter when the northern regions are getting nuked by snow and its in the 70's here and tell my friends up North how cold it is here.
