Hello everyone,

Been suffering from depression from a bad divorce a few years ago and put on a lot of weight since then. About a month ago I randomly got into golf - don’t know why and don’t know how it happened. Well I decided to go all-in and became obsessed with trying to develop my swing, mainly learning from watching YouTube videos.

golf has been the catalyst to curing my depression and gaining motivation to live healthier and lose weight. It really saved my life bc I was entering a point of no return. I lost 30 lbs in about 3 weeks due to my new found obsession. Every time i go to the range I learn something new and I’m definitely seeing improvements in my swing. It’s a work in progress and I still have a ton of things to fix, but here's a One month progression video below. Looking forward to learning from some peoples here and developing my knowledge.

thanks. I get pretty obsessive whenever I get into a hobby. Good thing golf is one of those sports where you always feel like you need to improve

I'm  happy with your weight loss and very glad you found your new passion but beware! Golf can be worse than a bad marriage! 😄

Welcome.   Awesome that you found golf, and us!

Nicely done.  Congratulations on the weight loss and welcome to TST.  Golf certainly is the main motivator for me in getting back into a better weight and staying fit.
