I'm rollin a beater right now... 1991 Civic Hatch with a frankenstein exhaust (cause the old one fell off) and a few other crappy bolt-ons that were there when I bought the car.

$800, 171k. gets 35+mpg, so I'm happy.

2000 Toyota Echo. 89k miles, if I remember correctly. I squeeze out on the high side of 50 miles to the gallon when trying to hypermile it (drive like a normal human and get 40).

Big enough trunk for three, possibly four golf bags.

@Basherbaker69: Gas is not cheap. (Yes, I think the equivalent of 1 pound 70 per gallon is expensive...)

"Shouldn't you be going faster? I mean, you're doing 40 in a 65..."

Being an urban dweller, I don't own a car, but do drive alot. Cars that I drive most often are the Mazda 3, Scion xB, Volkswagen Rabbit, Honda Civic, Toyota Matrix, BMW 328, Volvo S60, and Mini Cooper.

I'd have to say that after driving so many different cars, they're all the same to me, but the Cooper is the most fun. The BMW is surprisingly responsive considering it's weighed down by all those luxury features (love the lights on the door handles).

a scion xA, i've asked at a local golf course since my car is the same size as a golf cart if i could drive it around the course and they said no

was asked what a scion xA looks like as a pos comment

this is what it looks like and so you can see why i am really quite annoyed that golf courses don't let me drive this around on the cart path when i play a round of golf

They will beat their swords into golf clubs and their spears into putters. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Old Tom Morris 2:4

I've got an '04 VW Passat that is extremely fun to drive. I spent the first year finding pleasant little surprises when cars are well designed.

    • 39, +4. A bit better hip slide stuff. More lateral, less turn with the hips.
    • Day 11: Worked on putting with the metronome
    • I added to total today by hopping it in on the first hole for an eagle. A short par 4, I hit 4 wood to 110. With a little breeze in my face I hit a 50 degree gap wedge to 2 feet and watched it hop into the hole for an eagle 2!
    • Sounds good. Text me if you have any questions. You have a good setup, too, and so long as you can get good camera angles… you should be good. https://skillest.com/@iacas
    • Day 14 (September 18).  Morning practice, despite questionable weather (it's raining).   Worked on chipping at first, including run-ups with UW and PW;  I've noticed lately some of my near-GIRs are missing forward, with nothing but grass ahead of me, but 20-30 yards to the pin.  After a few misadventures putting those lately, I wanted to at least get a feeling for what a 30-yard chip shot that doesn't have the variance of my quarter lob wedge would feel like.  I still think "putt when you can putt" is right, but... I am less sure I have a 30 yard putt in me.  Range time also, of course, same routine as the past week or so (drill, 3-4 slow shots, etc).   Did not get to the putting green as it was starting to come down a bit more. Darn, it really is raining.  And I thought today would be a perfect day to play, seeing as how it's 9-18 and all.
