Sorry for the very quick responses… busy night here, but I wanted to add quickly to what @Ty_Webb said: Control the distance of the swing by controlling the length of the backswing, not the speed with which you hit it. -

This is me trying to fingerprint my tubb-cheeks against the wall. The instinct to extend up through the impact is overpowering. Will continue internalizing with the wall drill.
