  • Make major in-game decisions. - I can recall very few if any real blunders made by Tomlin in this regard. I can point to dozens of terrible in-game decisions made by Bears head coaches since Lovey Smith.
  • Putting together and installing the game plan for the week - Tomlin has to be top 10 in the league at this.

Fun season so far. Lots of twists and turns. I'm really enjoying it as always.

Loving Kurt Warner's channel this past year or so. He's a great resource for anyone looking to improve their understanding of the game. Passing it along.

That being said, the Pats offense is nothing to be afraid of either.

Well that's depressing....

Not depressing is another QB getting a shot here with Zach Wilson benched today. Probably Mike White. Which is again depressing, but he flashed at times last year until imploding against the Bills. Can't be much worse. Next, hopefully they move on from Mike LaFleur at offensive coordinator!

He never should have had to tackle him. It was the dumbest thing I’ve seen in a long time. I have no idea what Meyers was thinking. You only do this if you are losing on the last play of the game, not tied. And BTW, Chandler Jones has 4” and 50lbs on Mac Jones.

I think he was getting greedy.  When he threw back to the QB the QB still could have thrown the ball forward since he hadn't made a forward pass yet.

I have to live with the Butt Fumble, Scott, now you have to live with this!! 😂

Mac should’ve at least tried that Brady tripping move from few weeks ago too! No hustle, skip!

Pretty sure that you can't do that once you pass the line of scrimmage.

Really disappointed in many of the comments on that tweet.

This isn't Gladiator. I don't need to see people permanently incapacitated, disabled, or killed. Hit the guy around the waist. Wrap him up. Hell, hit him in the ribs (with your shoulder pads), which could also pop the ball free.

Not that shit.

I like football as much as the next guy.   Dangerous plays like that where a player may be injured for life isn't pretty.   A personal foul against the player isn't enough.   A game ejection isn't enough.  A fine isn't enough.    I don't have the answer but to injure a defenseless player like that shouldn't be part of the game.

I agree it’s ejection-worthy. But we can’t assume the defender was actually going for a dirty hit. It happens so fast and the target is moving. Maybe he intended to hit lower. But either way you have to punish brutal hits on defenseless players.

To me, this tells me the guy had no regard for his safety or the safety of the other player.

Come on, he made no attempt to go low. He intended to hit the player, leading with his helmet, chest height or above. If he intended to hit waist height, he missed his mark by such a large margin the I wonder if he ever trained in tackling before in his life,

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
