Bryan Bros and Busta Jack are very entertaining. GM golf is pretty fun to watch too.

Golf Sidekick actually got me interested in playing again,  but I've found that I'd much rather watch others play than do it myself.

Saves myself $50-100 bucks and a ton of aggravation. #golfjustaintmygame

I’d love to see a YT tournament with the ‘top 25’ YT instructors. Maybe just a 36 hole weekend tournament. I’d enjoy seeing all these guys that run their ball washers compete against one another. I’d particularly be interested to see Jim Venetos play to his ‘+5’ hcp. So not necessarily top 25 in regards to popularity, but those with the most  ball washing on their channel.

I just saw that, LMFAO. That's a good one.

Haha I get it! Love being on the course, but sometimes (many times) I don't know why I do it to myself.

Also a fan of Bryan Bros and Busta Jack.

I wasn't sure where to put this link, so I thought here would be fine.

Kyle Berkshire, great channel. But it's this recent upload from him that I wanted to post here, his 9-hole match with Rocco Mediate.

Really cool matchup I thought. Didn't get too many views. Wish it was 18 holes!

Spoiler

It's absurd how sick Rocco is. He's 62 years old now!

Nothing to do this morning, let’s watch a video. Entertaining. Thanks @JetFan1983.

It's a cool matchup! Both players inspire me in different ways. Rocco's ballstriking is so impressive. I of course didn't care for his "valley effect" green reading tip, but other than that, it's a cool 9 hole battle IMO. Glad you enjoyed it!

I actually enjoy watching the women players on YT more than the men because I can relate far more to how far they hit it and hence their club selection.  Too many of the guys are bombing it over 300 carry and that makes it difficult for me.  It doesn't hurt that the women are pleasing on the eye, but that is just a bonus.  What draws me to a channel is being able to say I could potentially hit those shots/distances if I practiced a bit (probably LOT) more 🙈

Say what you will about the BDS guys, but hats off to Lebron for being really cool about this, knowing the names of them all and showing he's obviously a fan. Language isn't family friendly just FYI...

    • Day 51 (29 Apr 26) - Worked with a few of the golf team kids plus my grandson (he’s too young for the team as it’s middle-high school age and he’ll be 10 Sat).  He put on a small hitting clinic (hitting off the same tees as the rest of the boys) - one of the older kids called him a “coach”.  Worked in a few shots for myself - had the light bag: driver, 7w, 4 - 6 - 8 - Pw - Sw (DCI 962’s except the Sw a 981) and Zebra putter….got in some great tee shots, a couple of recovery and an awesome up and down for bogie: 55 yds out, hitting 4th shot due to 2nd getting tangled in limbs - see the window I need to hit for a tight spinner with the Sw - nail it to a postage letter distance from the cup for a tap in bogie….my kind of practice.
    • Day 21, April 29.  Before going to work this morning, I worked in my indoor practice room for 20 minutes.   This was entirely 6-iron shots with the usual step.  Video yesterday showed me that I'm still straightening my trail leg too much (leading to the backswing length issue I've been working to fix), so I focused on not doing that in my rehearsal swings.
    • Exactly correct.   I was absolutely certain about the penalty (none here), but the bit about where they play from can be really confusing the first time you read it.  In my big paper rule book, i used colored highlighters to make it clear.  Good thing I did, at the Cascades there's little to no cell service, so using the rules app on the phone wasnn't possible.
    • Taking a crack it, but looks pretty clear. 11.1  Ball in Motion Accidentally Hits Person or Outside Influence. a. No Penalty to Any Player If a player’s ball in motion accidentally hits any person (including the player) or outside influence: There is no penalty to any player. This is true even if the ball hits the player, the opponent or any other player or any of their caddies or equipment. Reading further down it looks like they have to play the ball as it lies. No replay from the previous spot.
    • I had an interesting one yesterday, a local qualifier for the US Senior Open, at the Cascades Course at the Homestead.  Well, first things first, the VSGA arrnged for the officials to play the Cascades on Monday at the players' practice round rate.  Its lots of fun, rather old-style (built in the 1920s).  anyway, a player missed a short putt, and (apparently embarrassed) took a step to be ready to tap the ball back in.  The ball lipped out, and hit the player's foot.  I was nearby, and they waved me over, and asked "What do we do now?"  I was pretty sure of the ruling, but asked them to wait for a few seconds while i double-checked.  I did have it correct, even though its one of the more confusing rules in the book right now.  I'll leave the correct answer out for now, in case anyone wants to guess, or research it, and post their ruling.
