Rory up by six - makes me wonder if the powers that be will adjust Augusta’s moving day setup to be uber tough or uber getable to get a few closer.

Wow, largest ever 36-hole lead at the Masters. Seems good.

I don't really have much to add, but I'm having a great time nursing a cold by watching this tournament.

I doubt Rory fumbles this one, but you never know. As a fan, I hope he can close this out with two rounds to go.

I saw a funny comment somewhere where someone said Bryson should try to 3D print himself a green jacket.

And screw the golden goose? Nah. They would rather decorate for the homecoming.

I suppose Rory will indulge in a bit of guilty pleasure giving Bryson some of his own medicine. Saw a piece of Rory's interview on some documentary about last year's Masters where BDC was still trying to game/mess with him long after he had stopped being a factor. At least that was Rory's perspective. Dude's a huntn dog and a storyteller. I'm going to enjoy this one knowing the end even more so than last year.

And yeah, I know it's only half way through but Im early celebrating this one.

Wow, Rory was 90th in fairway accuracy.  To go back to my comment yesterday, fairways are overrated, and he made at least two birdies from pinestraw yesterday.

Three dozen players missed the cut after hitting more fairways than Rory on Thurs+Fri and they weren't all ... shall we say exclusively in the past champions category.

Let's hope the 90th in driving accuracy and his sometimes loose iron shots (hooks, pushes) don't end up as his undoing too though. I doubt it happens, but that stat is a possible harbinger. His short game/putting has been somewhat unsustainable.

Just playing devil's advocate here. I agree on this course especially ending up in the 1st or 2nd cuts doesn't mean much. And when he's been in the pine straw he's been able to wedge his 3rd decently close and then make the putt.

But I find it unlikely he collapses given his driving is his strength and he's due to stripe them down the middle today. Just saying tho.

They're over-rated, yes, but I don't know that he can continue to drive it that well and have alleyways and so on through the trees.

Well, not a fairway, but not in trouble either.  That's a start.

WHOO.  Does anyone know if driving the green on a par-4 counts as a fairway hit for statistical purposes?

Mr. Reed and Mr. Burns each is having a better start than McIlroy but maybe Rory can come back and make it happen.
