Taco.. this is what you do.. Buy the putter, and slide it in your bag. Leave it there and forget about it, except when you're admiring it on the course. Eventually when she notices and asks, "When did you get that?" or "Is that new?" Just answer, "This?? I've had this thing forever!" Problem solved. Has worked for me for clubs, flyrods, Dvds..you name it.

Taco..here's how you do it... Buy the putter, slide it in your bag and forget about it, except when you're admiring it on the course. When she asks, "When did you get that?!" or "Is that new?", you reply. "This?! I've had this thing forever!! I've used the technique on clubs, flyrods, guns, dvds you name it.

I can assure you such a thing will not fly by the fiancee. She is not dumb. At all. I don't date dumb women. :)

Got my SC Newport 2 for $150. Some guy bought it new and returned it the next day for a refund.

The salesman had been looking to sell me a new one for a few weeks at $299 so he was upset when I found the returned putter that he had hidden in the back row.

I went to Edwin Watts last night to compare putters. I had it narrowed down to either a Ping Karsten Anser or a Taylor Made Rossa Classic Siena 4 when a salesman I talk to quite a bit walked over and said "You should check out the used putters...theres a Scotty Cameron we just got in." So, now I am the new owner of a used Studio Style Newport. For $150, I couldn't be happier.
