<--- All of the above

Also, I have a V tan line formed from my polo shirts right near my collarbone as well as a wrist watch tan on my left hand. Need to go to the beach or central park or something and get this all evened out.

All of the above...shoe line, sleeve line, shorts line. I don't wear sunglasses so that is not a problem. I take my glove off between shots so that isn't a problem either. My biggest embarrassment is the hat line. I shave my head so I have a nice dark ring where the hat sits. (fitted hats ONLY, I don't need a hole tan from the adjustable hats) I will even take it off for a time to get the top a little more tan but it never gets as dark as the back of my neck.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

My girlfriend thinks my sockline tan is hillarious... she thinks this is even more hillarious:

I so need one of those!!

  • My feet look like I'm wearing socks all the time...even when I'm not.
  • My right wrist looks like I have a watch on at all time.
  • On the days that I do wear a hat, I come home with a half tan, half white face.
  • Leg tan line from the shorts
  • No glove line as I take my glove off in between shots and don't use it for anything 40 yards and in.
I definitely could use some more beach time

That's how I like my golf. A kick in the face. -Ben

Nothing awesome about a tan. Charring the only skin you'll ever own. Gad.

I hear ya. Theres a few women at my work who work in the office who are absolutely beautifull girls, but they are so tanned that its almost a turn-off.

A few of the older women (in their 40s) who go tanning all the time are even more gross. I kid you not, their skin almost looks like leather. Being a redhead, I know all too well the dangers of the sun. I have to be really careful about how much sun exposure I get, because I sunburn really easily. A month ago we had some pretty major flooding around here and I was outside all day in a tanktop helping the neibor make sandbags. The next day my shoulders broke out in the worst blisters you can imagine. Very painfull and very, very gross. When Im out on the golfcourse, I always wear a hat and I always bring along the sunblock.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

I can get a pretty bad farmers tan because of golf. To get rid of it, a few days of jogging in the summer and its gone.

Yep, I have that too. I wear sunglasses EVERYWHERE

Once you get that tan, you almost have to!

I'm half Thai, too so I get dark pretty easily. When people ask me which half, I tell them my arms, legs and head! That's not the answer my wife gives though...!!

I never use sunblock, even though I know it's gonna bite me in the ass later on in life. Plus I caddy every weekend and play almost everyday during the summer so I got quite a funny tan going.

I used to have crazy monkey feet, but that was before I started wearing pants to play golf.

Now it's just the arms and my face that's tan, and I apply as much sunscreen as I (reasonably) can.

Pants, eh? Wish I could do that, but it gets super hot here. Do you buy the pants that breathe? Any recommendations on brand?

Any of the performance brands of pants. The high-tech sports fabrics have come a long way lately. I have IZOD pants because that's what's nearby (an outlet).

Now let's please get back on topic. Since farmers don't wear shorts, I guess I have a farmer's tan too. Just not matching monkey feet.

    • Day 292: light day today. Mirror work, working on getting my hips more open in the downswing.
    • Day 135 (27 Apr 24) - played Bradford Creek today while waiting for the missus fly in from her extended visit with the grands.  Good day to stay focused as it was a hurry up (groups pressing from behind) and wait (groups taking their time ahead)…a good day to stay mentally in the game - play the shot and not get frustrated in the waiting…
    • Day 122: 4/27/24 Supposed to be a Stack training day but I was beat after yard work today. Practiced chipping and putting at The Creek. The practice green is pretty slow but the session went well.
    • Went to the range today and was cursing myself when I got there as I realized I forgot my phone. I added an earlier wrist hinge to the short backswing I was using last time practicing and ball strikes were really good for the most part. I'm heading back to Boston Thursday to see friends and family and have a couple of rounds planned so I'm hoping to keep this feeling.  Yesterday morning I weighed in at 232. My goal had been 230 but maybe now it's 220. I'll have to think about that. I feel so much better without the extra 90 lbs. from 2 years ago. Still a softl slightly less protruding belly so it might be time to go hard on eating better. Work in progress.
