I have it

Actually, I met with my advisor (I'm a college student) yesterday. He said my grades would be better if I would get off the golf course. The time I spent there was evident due to the tan.

Nothing awesome about a tan. Charring the only skin you'll ever own. Gad.

That women's major about 6 weeks ago was the ultimate example. The Asian winner looked ridiculous. I literally felt sorry for her down the road. I was impressed in Kim Welch's Big Break audition tape that she said she learned to load on the sun block, especially in summer. I figured that out at age 22 and can't imagine leaving the house without it. I load it on after a shower -- face, arms and around the neck.

I remember the pilot's wife in my neighborhood in Miami who tanned all day in the backyard when he was gone. As teenagers we thought she was amazing. Ten years later she was a prune who looked 15-20 years older than her chronological age, and he had long since divorced her.

My dad has had 15-20 procedures, problematic areas on his face and arms either burnt, frozen or otherwise treated. I know I won't avoid that completely but age 22 detour should have lessened it. Plus, I'm always mistaken for 6-10 years younger than my actual age.

Yup...

Pure white feet from the ankles down and from just above the knees up.
Face and neck are dark but well oiled. I do use a good sun screen and after skin moisturizer.

Not anything like my grandfather who was a farmer and worked every day.

I wear sandals everyday when I am on campus.....as a matter of fact, the only shoes I wear are for golf. I STILL have a sock tan.

The farmer's tan doesn't bother me nearly as much as my glove tan. It's getting absolutely ridiculous.

Also, I have the blessing of never having to wear sunscreen in the less-than-intimidating Michigan sun. 50+ rounds this summer and not one burn, but 1 round in Cabo, and I couldn't tell wear my pink shorts ended and my calves started.

    • Thank you.  I'll cross it off the list since it isn't going to achieve what I want.
    • While it does turn out that both Tiger and Phil are less squeaky clean than I previously believed, I don't think golf quite has the worst in professional sports.  Or maybe they're better at image management.   Obviously I'm not fond of Phil's issue we're discussing in this thread (or his involvement with LIV) or Tiger's choices of how to drive.  I used to really like Dustin Johnson and, even before the LIV situation, we started to hear rumors that he bought more snow than Seward, although I don't think those stories were ever substantiated.  Meanwhile, I did think of Anthony Kim as the "good, bad boy" of the tour for a while fifteen years ago because of his party persona -- and if it turns out the worst he did was show up hung over to play (barring what one thinks of LIV), that's pretty good.  And I'm still happy he found a way to get his life clean. If we contrast that with some other sports I enjoy, I'm sure we could find a nice long list of NFL players that, at one point in my life, I was quite fond of, we get far worse disappointments (to put it mildly).
    • Answering that properly would land me in hot water, so I'm not going to. I don't think that many people would do that. I think that in certain circumstances many people would be willing to overlook someone doing that. But I was really referring to what I assumed was Tiger's transgressions (cheating on his wife) not Phil's.
    • No! Is a large part of the human population selfish, apathetic and cuts corners in the name of self-preservation 'more than they would like to admit', yes. Degenerate, scum, etc?.. no!! Most humans/men would not grope a woman like Phil is accused of doing (I think he absolutely did). That is scum. I mean what % of men do you think would do that? Seriously??
    • I don't think that is true at all. That is off-topic here, I think.
