How do you clean your clubs?

I usually use soap and water on mine, just curious on how others do it!

I wet one half of my towel before starting my round and wipe them after every shot then dry them with the dry half. The wet towel gets the grooves completely clean so there's never a need to give them a 'proper' clean when I get home.

I never use soap... just cold water, the frogger, and several towels...

While on the course I dampen my club towel that hangs from my bag.

I've also got a club brush hanging from the same loop. I'll hit the grooves with that and then wipe off with the damp club towel. Works out well for on the course cleaning through out the round.


Once a month or so, when I'm washing the cars, I may hit the heads again with some soapy water and a brush.

i usually wipe the club after each shot..... but cleaning at home, i use dawn or what ever is at the sink and a tooth brush and a car towel

Soap and water works good before every round.
But if you want to bring back some shine to some older clubs a neat trick is to leave them soaking in some Coke over night.

you all made me feel guilty and I washed my clubs last night. I like to use a wire brush and "Barkeeper's Friend" and water

I just washed mine today. I filled a wheel barrow up with soap and water and let them soak for a little while. I then used a nylon brush to clean the grooves out good and rinsed and dried them. I generally keep them pretty clean on the course, but about once a month or so I like to give them a good scrubbing.

A few years ago my wife gave me a "clubtub". I think she purchased it at Dick's for $20 - $25. Yes it's a lot of money vs. the basic soap and water in the thread above, but it works great. I keep it in the garage with soap and water already in it. Take the clubs out, a few quick swishes, and clubs are clean. I use this approx. 2 weeks. Wet towel works well during the round, this just really gets into the nooks and crannies around the club. You would never be unhappy with it. Good Luck

Most of the courses around here have a ball and club washer on the cart so mine never hits the bag dirty.

At home I just use a wet towel and wipe them clean.

Honestly, on the course, I spit on the clubface and use a brush to clean out the grooves, then wipe it off with a towel.

Soaking them in Coke? Whats the purpose of that? Just curious.

I keep my clubs clean, but I have noticed scratches from the mats/grass on the bottom of the club head. Will the Coke take care of these scratches? If not what will?
